Sugar-Free Diet Foods Seem to Cause Adverse Health Problems and Weight Gain

Do you eat sugar-free diet foods in your quest to lose weight? How effective has it been for you? You may be surprised to find that most people do NOT lose weight with foods derived from sugar-free diets. They can even gain weight. Also, sugar-free foods almost always contain artificial sweeteners, which is terrible news. The manufacturers did their best to convince you of the safety of their sugar substitutes, but many studies and numerous consumer reports tell a different story.

Artificial sweeteners cause a higher calorie intake.

The artificial sweeteners found in almost all sugar-free diet foods seem to give you MORE greediness, not less, and tend to make you eat more, not less! This is especially true of drinks such as diet sodas, but it is also true of other sugar-free products. A study published in 2005 by the American Diabetes Association has shown that the risk of being overweight increases by 65% with every soda you consume every day! Did you know that?

Diet sodas contain artificial sweeteners and more toxic ingredients.

Today, 1 in 2 adults drink soda, despite its list of ingredients including artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, saccharin or sucralose, artificial colors and preservatives, phosphoric acid, and natural flavors invariably include MSG. Maybe you are still a diet drinker? Did you know that chemicals like sodium benzoate are often carcinogenic, phosphoric acid can cause osteoporosis, and higher rates of bone fracture in girls and natural flavors with MSG are known neurotoxins?

Artificial sweeteners can cause brain tumors, mood disorders, etc.

Also, aspartame (NutraSweet® and Equal®) has been involved by some scientists and health professionals in the possibility of causing severe diseases such as brain tumors and injuries. All types of neurotoxic side effects have also been attributed to him, including seizures, headaches, dizziness, mood disorders, anxiety, etc. Saccharin and sodium benzoate are carcinogenic. Sucralose, the new artificial sweetener for diet soda and many other foods, has not been studied extensively in humans, and concerns have been expressed about its possible harmful effects on the thymus gland. This organ helps the immune system.  Sucralose has also been accused of causing drug-like disorientation and confusion, depression and anxiety, diarrhea, fatigue, headaches, etc.

Aspartame stimulates the appetite and can lead to weight gain.

Many articles and studies have shown that aspartame in diet sodas and other sugar-free diet foods stimulates appetite and causes carbohydrate cravings. The American Cancer Society has documented that people who use artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose gain weight compared to those who don't. So, if you use soda or other sugar-free diet foods, you are probably putting your long-term health at risk, and you are NOT losing weight anyway! So, stop using sugar-free diet foods today!

Small amounts of natural sugars in the diet are better than artificial sweeteners.

If you have diabetes, you want to stay away from all concentrated sugars until you are better (and yes, type II diabetes can go away if you do the right thing for your health, like getting enough sleep, reducing alcohol consumption). Stress, exercise, eating correctly, and getting enough vitamins and minerals). If you do not have diabetes, small amounts of natural sweeteners such as evaporated cane juice (found in Appadurai and Succanat), maple syrup, and raw bee honey are NOT fed corn syrup. Much better to include in your diet than artificial sweeteners, in my opinion. If you're having trouble moving away from sugar, you may need to make a more significant diet change. Many people find that when they start eating real foods, they make up for vitamin and mineral deficiencies with these foods, and sometimes with supplements, and make sure they have enough natural protein and fat, including virgin coconut oil, which in their diet, that your sugar cravings gradually disappear.
