“Parents are our first teachers—yet often the last ones we truly listen to.”
The Son Who Found His Way Back is a heartfelt story about Mohan, a bright young boy who believed he understood life better than anyone else—especially better than his parents. Like many children of his age, Mohan took his parents’ love for granted, mistook freedom for independence, and confused confidence with arrogance. He argued, he ignored, he rebelled… until life placed him at a crossroads he could no longer overlook.
This book is not just Mohan’s journey. It is the journey of every child who forgets the silent sacrifices made by those who raised them. Through emotional moments, honest conversations, and life-changing realizations, the story gently reminds readers that respect is the purest expression of love, and parents deserve both in abundance.
The purpose of this book is simple:
To help children rediscover the value of parents, understand their struggles, appreciate their guidance, and learn the importance of humility before it arrives too late.
Mohan’s story is a reminder that one moment—one fear, one tear, one honest reflection—can change a person forever. It is a tale of transformation, understanding, and the warm return of a son who finally learned what truly matters.
May this story inspire every reader to pause, look at their parents with new eyes, and realize that the greatest blessing in life is the people who love us unconditionally.

The Son Who Found His Way Back
Chapter 1 – Mohan’s Busy Little World
Twelve-year-old Mohan lived in the lively town of Anandpur. He was smart, energetic, and popular among friends. Teachers admired his intelligence, and neighbours adored his cheerful nature. But at home, a small problem had quietly grown into a big one.
Mohan had started ignoring his parents.
Whenever his mother asked him to finish homework, he replied, “Later, Ma… I know it already.”When his father warned him not to spend too much time on his phone, Mohan said, “You don’t understand today’s generation, Papa.”
His parents loved him deeply, but their hearts ached every time he brushed aside their words. Mohan didn’t realize it yet, but he was slowly moving away from the very people who cared for him the most.
One evening, when his mother asked him to eat dinner before it got cold, he said without looking up from his game, “Stop saying it again and again!”
His mother quietly walked back to the kitchen. His father sighed. And Mohan… didn’t even notice the silence he had created.
Chapter 2 – The Missed School Bus
The next morning, Mohan’s mother woke him gently.
“Mohan, beta, wake up. Your school bus timing changed today.”
“I know, Ma… five more minutes,” he mumbled, pulling the blanket tighter.
“Mohan, you’ll get late—”
“Ma! Please!” he snapped, half-asleep.
After fifteen minutes, he woke up suddenly—The bus had already left.
He ran to the gate, but it was too late.
When he returned home angrily, he said, “Ma, why didn’t you wake me up properly?”
His mother looked at him sadly.“I called you three times.”
His father, who had been silently reading the newspaper, finally spoke.
“Mohan, responsibility starts when you listen.”
Instead of understanding, Mohan rolled his eyes.“Okay, okay… I’ll manage.”
He walked out, leaving behind two hearts that silently wondered when their son had changed.
