The werewolves find themselves in a bind as they hear of the upcoming Eclipse, which supposedly erases they're memories and takes they're powers, turning them against eachother in a battling rage. Is it just a legend, or is it true that they're monsters kick in and tear apart the pack when the moon covers the sun?

Introduction.

The thought of killing made me ill, made me sick. The blood that constantly poured from the flesh..and i knew i couldnt stand becoming one of them, the wolves. But it wasn't easy to fight it, because from then on it was every time I thought about it when i changed.

It hurt the first time, when i changed. I could almost feel my flesh exploding, and my clothes tearing apart. My sense of smell grew sharper, until each scent mixed together causing a mixture that was nearly unbearable. But it was even harder for the teeth.

My teeth, they were growing quickly. They extended into sharp points that could tear the others apart, hurt, and even kill other people. The worst part however, was growing the fur and ears.  My hearing grew stronger, i could hear people whispering from miles away, people shouting and whooping and laughing, it hurt my ears badly, as i was not used to this...

The fur, it sprouted along each part of my body, growing very hot. It was a dark gray with light gray specks. My tail grew long, almost feather-like, that hurt too, but not as much as the whole transformation.

The first time i changed i was running through the forest. I was angry, me and my best friend had a fight and i ended up bolting, fleeing. I leaped over a fallen log...still human..

But exploded halfway into the air, coming down hard as a four legged beast.

I could hear voices in my head, voices telling me to calm down, that im doing great for my first time of transformation. I was frantic, trying to escape this..horror movie..but i knew there was no way out.

I listened to the voices, but i could hardly understand them over my own, telling me only one thing.

"Your dead."

Chapter 1.

Dear Mallie,

Look, i understand that its hard for you. First time always is, for transformation. You didnt expect this, i know, but youll pull through, we all did. Just remember to control the wolf. Keep your mind off of it when you change so the pain will lessen a little.

I know you can do this! Keep trying! -Nillie

I stared sharply down at the letter in my hand, the letters a blurr of words on a white ocean. I sighed, rereading the letter about three times. Only three things didnt make sense.

1. There was only one hard thing about all this, the only thing Nellie didnt put in the letter she sent me the day after the transformation in which i totally freaked.

2. I wouldnt pull through until i actually let myself believe that i turned into a very large black and silver dog. Which would probably be when.....ok who am i kidding? Ill never believe it..

3. "Keep trying" Was a very big mistake to put in the letter. I was never, ever, ever changing again..

I crumpled the letter and tossed it under my bed, then put my head against the wall. I hardly knew what a werewolf was, much less that they really were..um...real!

I moaned softly. I didnt understand, at all, why this was happening. Why did i have to turn into a freaking werewolf??

I felt a rumble in my throat, and tried desperately to pretend it wasnt a growl of frustration. I had to get out, escape this unsafe world of which werewolves existed...

But there would be no way out, i knew, because it had happened already. I had shifted, and there was no telling what i could do now. I was dangerous, evil.

I was a wolf, for goodness sake!

I rolled off my bed and glanced at my clock. Only 6:43. If i hurried i could make it to school on time.

So i got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth, and headed downstairs. I gobbled down the breakfast--probably a werewolf affect--and hurried out the door.

The sun just rising, slowly this morning. I glanced at the horizon where the sun met the sky, squinting.

"Hey Mallie!" I turned my head sharply, causing a sharp pain. My friend, Allie, who lived next door leaped her fence gracefully and came beside me with a smile.

Allie had long blonde hair and pearly blue eyes. Her hair was pulled into a loose ponytail today, a weird look for her. But i didnt quiestion it.

"Hey Allie." I said with less enthusiasm than usual. Allie was one of the friends i had fought with before my...incident.

But Allie, forgetting the fight, chirped happily the whole way to school while i scowled at her words, each one.

"So, im sorry about yesterday. I knew it was stupid to fight about whos shoes were better." She laughed quickly. "Im so hard headed. But after you left, i heard a boom and a roar. That was strange, wasnt it? I was worried the whole time, thinking something like a wolf or bear had attacked you!"

I tried desperately not to start screaming that I was a wolf, but i bit my tongue and instead replied smoothly.

"Yeah, i heard it too. I came straight home, i was so scared." A laughed pathetically. I listened to her babbling the whole time until we reached school.

The school was huge. It was a pure white with a chain linked fence in front. Out back behind it was a pool and a track, and beside it to the right was the girls shower room.

Allie skipped right down the graveled path toward the great white building. I followed more slowly, unable to think clearly. I hoped that Jason wasnt here..

"Yo, Mal!" Speak of the devil, the devil shall appear. Jason ran to catch up. He slowed at my side.
