"I can't understand why I'm not doing well in that class," I can't help but whine a little as I looked at the giant B+ at the edge of my recent paper. I put twice, if not three times more time and effort into each and every one of Professor Tony Payne's class assignment and somehow I'm only averaging a B+ on his class.

"That's because he's a giant douche, Amanda," Jack said, munching on his toast. He folded his own A+ paper and stuff it down his bag without a care in the world.

"I wish he'd just let me know what I'm doing wrong though!" I continued. "I mean, we do our work together, so I know my answers are valid!"

"I told you, he's a douche," he insisted.

We were walking out of the professor's class and making our way towards the next class on our timetable.

I sighed, "maybe you're right," I said.

"What're you guys talking about?? Mary quipped, catching up with us.

"Professor Tony and what a giant asshole he is," I mumbled quietly.

"Oohh, the perfect teacher's pet complaining about a teacher?" she teased. "What'd he do? Fail your paper?"

"Worse," Jack said, "he gave her a B+."

"Oh stop it guys!" I shoved them lightly and giggled, knowing that I was just being ridiculous for letting a not-so-bad grade get to me.

"To be honest though, I've heard some things about the professor," Mary said in a low whisper.

"Oh?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

"I heard he only gives bad grades to students he's interested in," she paused and lowered her voice a little more, "sexually."

"No way!" I laughed, feeling a blush climb up my cheek.

"Really!" she continued earnestly, "I even heard that he's had relationships with his students in the past! Like, the ones who agrees to do special favors with him can get really good grades and recommendation letters to really high paying jobs."

"No way the university would allow that," Jack said, wrapping an arm around her waist as she continued talking.

"Yeah, it's probably just a rumor. He is ridiculously cute," she said with a dreamy look in her eyes. "Amanda wouldn't mind doing some special favors with Professor Tony, right?" she teased.

I shook my head, trying to pretend that I wasn't actively considering the offer, "don't be ridiculous!" I said.

"Are you blushing? He's so oold," Jack gasped, his expression one of disgust. He can be so immature sometimes.

"Oh, shove it!" I said, increasing my pace so that I was a little ahead of them.
