Book Abstract for Rage

Upon writing the book, the author was able to accumulate 18 on-the-record interviews with the president in order to gain insider information that he would then discuss in the book. There were even times where the president himself would initiate the interviews..

Rage by Bob Woodward is a political and biographical book detailing Donal Trump’s presidency and his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, North Korea, race relations, and other issues. The book contains factual revelations and insider information derived from the 18 on-the-record interviews that the author conducted with the president. The president's decree of cooperation was a surprise for Woodward, considering the former would not even talk to the author when he was writing Fear, the predecessor to Rage. Trump would be the one to initiate the interviews on several occasions and would even call at 10 in the evening just to talk. In a way, this could be Trump’s attempt at sharing his side of the story behind certain events to a wider audience.
