Whether they're covered in goo, or running for their lives, these two are sure to keep you in stitches.
'Zeke & Zak Fumble Through A Fairy Long Lesson' has been accepted for our 'Books4Kids' program. The Books 4 Kids Program is a 501c3 non-profit corporation with a mission to build children’s character through books. B4K brings authors into the classroom – in person or through electronic conferencing. The author reads from his or her book, answers student questions and leads a discussion of what was learned from the book. (Each book has a character-building message infused in the story.)
At the end of the discussion, each child receives his own copy of the book for free! (Thanks to generous donations from our program sponsors!)
The Books 4 Kids Program provides students with an exciting book event where every child can participate equally. B4K events are about inclusion, character-building and fun.

Zeke and Zak Fumble Through A Fairy Long Lesson by Lenora Rodgers is an exciting children's book that follows two fairies named Zeke and Zak. Zeke and Zak are apprenticed to the tooth fairy. But the two fairies aren't very good at their job. Their biggest challenge yet happens when they come face to face with a dog named Marshall. The dog thinks the fairies are bugs and chases them all through the house. The two fairies first want to quit their job, but decide that they won't quit so easily this time. But there's still a dog to worry about...
I really enjoyed Zeke and Zak Fumble Through A Fairy Long Lesson by Lenora Rodgers. It is a fun tale. It has many funny parts that make the reader want to laugh out loud. I was hooked by the first page and I couldn't put the book down. Zeke and Zak are likeable and relatable characters. The book teaches responsibility in a delightful way. I liked how there was a pun in the title. The pictures, by Terry C. Wise, are very well done and depict the scenes vividly. The book has many action scenes that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat. The story shows that responsibility isn't something to be taken lightly and is very important. The book has funny parts, scary parts, and sad parts. I would recommend this to all young readers.
As always, for the boys,
Xavier and Isaac
I want to extend my endless thanks to PS Publishing for seeing the possibilities in goofy Zeke and Zak for the Books 4Kids Program. By being given this opportunity to help Z&Z teach children through character building stories, I have a chance to put my books into the hands of children everywhere. It is a dream coming true for me and I have Coleen and everyone at PS Publishing to thank for helping me get this story where it is today.
My editor on the very early version of this story and my webmaster is Laura Brown of Austin, Texas. For years, she’s had never-ending faith in the entertainment value of these little assistant fairies and my story telling when my faith and confidence waivered. It is through her that I came to the attention of PS Publishing. Take a look at Laura’s website and vast services at www.laverybrown.com.
Children love pictures to help them enjoy a story. You cannot write and publish a children’s book without illustrations and that’s where my partner in crime, Terry C. Wise, comes in. He always comes up with new and creative ideas in his artwork that I can use to improve upon my story. He has endless patience as I suggest and change and ask for just one more illustration.
A big shout out to the 2015-2016 fourth and fifth grade classes at Helmwood Heights Elementary School, Elizabethtown KY for their input on this book. Their suggestions led to more action, onomatopoeia words, and “squirt a turd” expressions.
Lastly, thanks to my family for their support on my author journey.
My dream is that my young grandchildren will grow up with a love for reading. Maybe one day they’ll even pick up one of my books to pass the time and in the future, introduce my books to their children.
