God has done so much in my life, and it’s a joy for me to share it with you. Many of the Scripture passages and blessings that have meant so much to me are in this devotional. I have experienced miracles that have healed my body, my soul, my spirit, and my finances. 365 Days of Hope and Healing for the Body, Mind, and Soul is a testament to all that God has done for me and what he can also do for you.
It is my prayer that through these pages you will walk out a healing you never even knew you needed. May you experience the incredible power of God to bring wholeness in all areas—even those where you thought you’d never get completely healed. As you go through this devotional, I pray you will see your life totally healed: your heart, your mind, and your soul. Blessings to you as you read this book and live it out. God is with you!
Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine—these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.
1 CORINTHIANS 2:9 TPT
All God has in store for you is based on his goodness. God is a loving Father who meets the needs of his children. He doesn’t only provide for your needs, though. He has greater things in store that you cannot even begin to imagine! He loves to astound you with his kindness, and he will always meet you with generosity.
If you have been waiting for an answer to prayer, take hope. God has the key to every locked door; he has the solution to every problem, and he has the antidote to every illness. He is able to do far more than you can dream up, and you can’t upset him with your expectations. Know this: God’s ways are better than our ways. He is not too late, and you are not behind. He will meet you with the wisdom of his perfect love. Look to him today and ask for a glimpse into the goodness he is already working out in answer to your prayers. He is actively putting the puzzle pieces into place even now.
Ask God to open your eyes to his mercy at work in the details of your life.
God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul…the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
ACTS 19:11–12 NKJV
Today’s verse doesn’t just talk about how Paul healed people by laying his own hands on them. “Even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick,” verse 12 also says. When items that he touched were brought to the sick and the tormented, they were healed and set free. How amazing is this! God can certainly do much more than we expect. But even though God used physical objects to relieve the suffering, we should remember that healing isn’t a formula. It’s a miracle of faith.
Are you stuck in a rut in your belief? Do you expect God to answer the same way every time you ask him to move? God is creative, and it is this creativity that breaks the mold of our limitations. God is not bound to the way we do things. He is not even bound to the way he has done things before. Though his nature never changes, the way he chooses to bring his love to his children is different for each of us. Let’s raise our faith and ask God to move outside the box of our experience. After all, he isn’t limited by our limitations.
Follow the Spirit’s leading, no matter how strange it may seem.
This is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
COLOSSIANS 1:27 NLT
If you are in Christ, Christ is in you. Once you have given your life to him, he makes his home in you. That means you don’t ever have to wonder if he’s near. You don’t have to question whether his grace is enough. His presence is full of the glory of God, and his presence lives in you through the Holy Spirit.
Don’t forget just how much power you carry in you as a child of the living God. The same power that raised Christ from the grave is alive in you today. Let every doubt, fear, and hesitation fall as you turn your attention to the miracle of God’s nearness. Instead of merely focusing on what you can do for God today, remember that you are God’s home. Make your heart, your body, and your mind a resting place for his love. Open your heart to him, let your body receive his peace, and remember who Christ was, is, and always will be.
As you go about your day, remember that God chooses to make his home in you.
If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 NIV
When you’re tempted to give up, turn your attention to Christ. He is the hope of glory, the fulfillment of your heart’s desires, and he is the one who can lift you up over and over again from the miry clay. Jesus has wrapped you up in his living love, and he has made you new.
You don’t have to keep repeating the same old self-destructive cycles. God has broken the loop, and he makes a way for you to begin again. Today is the perfect moment to take hold of the promise of God. He makes all things new, including you! It doesn’t matter what your past says about you. God is a master restorer. Step into the light of his mercy today and follow the lead of his Spirit. He will not let you down. He is the God who makes a way in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:19). He is the one who delivers us from our fears (Psalm 34:4). He is our healer, Redeemer, and life-giver.
Move into this day as if you were brand-new, not held back by any fear, doubt, or pain.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory.
EPHESIANS 3:20–21 ESV
How often do you keep yourself from dreaming, asking, or reaching out because you think the end is out of reach? When it comes to God, there is no limit to the power of his love. He “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think.” Don’t let your own hesitation keep you from reaching for your breakthrough!
In Christ, all things are possible. There is nothing God can’t do. If God is able to do all things, and those who believe will receive what they ask for (Mark 9:23), there is nothing stopping us from receiving the extravagant kindness of God. Nothing, that is, except ourselves. God will not force us to know his love, but it is ready and waiting for us at all times. Let’s stretch our imaginations and ask God to meet us in the unknown parts of our lives—out beyond the fear, doubt, and pain. He is good and able, and we have only to ask and believe.
Ask God to overwhelm your expectations with his miraculous love in a way you can clearly recognize today.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
EZEKIEL 36:26 NASB
The pain of a broken heart is real. We are whole beings, and when our hearts break, our bodies are often affected too. When we are in the valley of despair, we need the one who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). We need a friend who will not leave us and who knows the unspoken pain of our loss. He grieves with us, yes; he comforts us in our sorrow. But that is not all he does!
God promises to give you a new heart. He doesn’t put an old patch on your fresh wound and leave it at that. Even if your heart is calcified by trauma, God “will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” God is able to walk into the room you are in, wrap his arms around you, and love you to life with his healing mercy. He will give you a heart transplant if that is what you need.
Pray and ask God to wrap around you with the presence of his Spirit and to bring new life to your heart today.
After these things happened, the LORD spoke his word to Abram in a vision: “Abram, don’t be afraid. I will defend you, and I will give you a great reward.”
GENESIS 15:1 NCV
God honors our faith. When we depend on him, listen to his voice, and obey his instructions, we can be fearless. Still, hard times will come. We can’t expect an easy life with no resistance. That is not what Jesus told us would happen, and it simply isn’t reality. The thing we can be sure of is God’s unwavering help.
God told Abram, “Don’t be afraid. I will defend you.” But that’s not where his promise ended. He went on to tell Abram, “I will give you a great reward.” Abram had been faithful to God’s leading, and his reward was a close relationship with God himself. Though walking in God’s ways isn’t an easy path, it is worthwhile. The reward for following him is that we get to know him. It is better than anything we could trade for it. Paul knew this, too. In light of Christ, he counted everything else as loss (Philippians 3:7). In other words, nothing was more important, more beneficial, or more precious to Paul than the relationship he found in Christ. Do you know your great reward?
Spend time in prayer and ask God to show you the reward of knowing him.
He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.
JOB 9:10 CSB
When God moves, the earth quakes. When he whispers, new life is formed. He created the stars in the heavens and the earth below. He made each of us with intention. God is always moving in mercy. Anywhere his Spirit is, there is miracle-making power.
There is a lot of bad news out there—wars, poverty, sickness. We don’t have to look far to be confronted with troubles. Still, this is not all the news available. We might have to look for positive stories a little more carefully, but if we do, we will see the goodness of God on display. After all, God’s miracles were not just for those who lived in Bible times. He is moving in power today, and he is moving all around us. We only have to open our eyes and ears, and we will see and hear what the Spirit is doing.
When was the last time you heard a testimony that knocked your socks off? Keep your eyes and ears open for good news today and share it when you find it.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
HEBREWS 13:8 NIV
Jesus Christ is the same. He doesn’t change his nature or his mind. He healed the sick, freed the tormented, and raised the dead. Why would you believe he doesn’t do those same things today? If he is constant in power, we can trust that what he did before, he will continue to do today. He is “the same yesterday and today and forever.”
We are ordinary, but this is no curse. In our weakness, God is strong. We were made to rely on his strength. The consistent kindness of God moves in resurrection power as mightily today as it did when Christ rose from the grave. He is seated at the right hand of his Father, but he is not absent from us in Spirit. Whatever it is we need from God, he is able to supply. We don’t have to feel anything to experience it. He is good, he is true, and he always comes through when we depend on him.
Declare the power of Jesus over your mind, heart, and body today.
“But even though grass withers and the flower fades, the word of our God stands strong forever!”
ISAIAH 40:8 TPT
If we were not familiar with the seasons, it might be discouraging to watch the decay of nature as fall turns to winter. We do not live in perpetual springtime, where flowers bloom endlessly and drought never touches us. We celebrate the bounty in times of feast, and we lean on God in times of famine. Each season requires something different from us. Through it all, though, God never changes. Neither does his Word.
When you build your life upon the rock of God’s love, your foundation is the Living Word. You won’t be shaken when storms come. When God is the bedrock beneath your feet, you won’t fall through the cracks. Get to know what God is like through his Word, and you will stand strong. No matter how much changes around you, he won’t change. He is your steady support and your immovable security.
Did you know that Jesus is known as the Living Word? He stands strong forever. Set your focus on him today.
“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
ISAIAH 65:24 NKJV
God is waiting for you today. You don’t need to shout to get his attention, and you don’t have to put on a show to win his focus. He is ready, willing, and eager to hear from you. God’s Word says, “Before they call, I will answer.” He already knows what is on your heart before you make a move toward him. Let this encourage you to run to the Lord in prayer!
Did you know that God can read between the lines of your emotions? If you don’t have words, that’s okay. Scripture says that the Spirit helps us when we don’t know what to pray: “The Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26). God knows every language, every pull of our hearts, and every underlying issue that affects us. Who better to trust with our lives? He has the perfect solution to every problem we face, and we can count on him to come through for us. Let’s go to him with open hearts, ready to receive what he so generously offers.
Go to God with your problems today and remember that he hears you. There’s no need to delay.
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
JAMES 1:5 NLT
Nothing is stopping you from putting in your requests to the Lord. If you have felt resistance when you approach God in prayer, know that it is not from him. He is a loving Father and a faithful friend. He will never make you feel stupid for asking him for wisdom. He loves to give it. He is kind, gentle, and right on time, always speaking words of life.
Whatever it is you need today, you can count on God to supply it. Whether it’s a point of contact, an opportunity for rest, an answer you’ve been searching for, or the peace of his presence, he has much to offer you. He knows exactly what you need before you even ask. Don’t hesitate to come to him about every area of your life. He loves when his children depend on him. He doesn’t expect you to figure it out on your own. Knowing he is a good God, you can trust him to follow through on every promise, and he promises to provide for your needs, including your need for wisdom.
Every time you see a need today or you have a question, ask God for his help.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
JEREMIAH 1:5 NIV
Every human heart cries to be known. Yes, misunderstandings abound in this day and age, and that can lead us further from each other if we don’t interact with clarity and kindness. But God knows us better than anyone else. He is our Creator, and he is also our Father.
Before God formed you in your mother’s womb, he already knew that he would create you. He set you apart to be uniquely you from the beginning. You don’t have to catch up to his expectations of you. You don’t have to prove a thing! As you surrender to his love and get to know God as he knows you, something beautiful happens. You begin to discover just how delighted God is in who he created you to be—not the you of yesterday or tomorrow, but the you of this very moment. The present is where God meets you, and he is always overflowing in kindness toward you. Let the power of God’s affection heal your soul today as you receive what he says about you, his beloved child.
Let your soul rest in how completely God loves you in this moment.
“Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.”
JOSHUA 1:5 ESV
Joshua had big shoes to fill after Moses died. The Israelites needed a leader, and God spoke directly to Joshua, appointing him to be the next leader of his people. Can you imagine the fear Joshua must have felt? Or the overwhelming doubts that would have crept in at such a calling? God knew Joshua’s heart, and God knew his thoughts. He spoke directly to Joshua’s questions and reassured him: “Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will never leave you or forsake you.”
God knows exactly what you will face today. He isn’t caught off guard by the problems that arise. He knows exactly how to guide you through every wilderness and every obstacle in the road. Trust him to do it. Take courage in his promise that he is with you every step of the way. He will never abandon you. He will help you, protect you, and revive you. He will bring beauty out of the ashes and joy from your sorrow. Lean into his presence today.
Every time you begin to worry about tomorrow, remember that God is with you in each step. His grace is enough for every moment.
“I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you.”
2 KINGS 20:5 NASB
Are you holding on by a thread of hope? Perhaps it feels more like desperation. God sees the tears you cry, and he hears your prayer. He will not remain silent forever. Don’t take his timing as reason to doubt. When he promises, he always follows through. He is faithful to do all that he says, so hold him to it. When you have a promise of God on your life, keep it close and remind yourself daily. Through the fruitful seasons of life and the droughts, seek to know God—really know him. He is the same through every shift and change. He remains constant.
When we labor long in waiting, it can feel as if we will never experience breakthrough. But God is not a liar, and he is not absent. When we are prone to despair, that is just when we need a reminder of hope. His living love crashes over us with the power of his promise: I have heard. I have seen. I am going to heal you.
What promise of God is over your life? Make a visual and put it where you will see it regularly.
“God can do anything!”
LUKE 1:37 NCV
Healings happen all the time. Sometimes they happen with the warmth of the Holy Spirit’s presence, and other times people wake up the next day pain-free even though they didn’t feel anything in the moment. God loves to heal! He loves to bring restoration to our brokenness, and that includes our bodies.
Jesus is a man of his word. What he says, you can count on—always. Have you hesitated about asking God for breakthrough in an area of your life (mind, body, soul, relationship) because you thought he didn’t care? Beloved, if it’s important to you, he cares about it. God is not limited by your doubts, but he does ask that you believe for your own sake. God can turn around the most desolate situation and bring healing and wholeness to every person who asks him. What’s stopping you today?
Read testimonies of God’s goodness and let that spark your own hope and faith to ask and believe God for your own breakthrough.
“I am GOD—yes, I AM. I haven’t changed. And because I haven’t changed, you, the descendants of Jacob, haven’t been destroyed.”
MALACHI 3:6–7 MSG
Sometimes the reminder we need to push through our disbelief is that God’s power is not bound by time or circumstance. The God who healed the lepers and the blind, who led his people through the Red Sea on dry land, and who miraculously provided bread for his people in the desert is the same God who is with us today.
God’s Word tells us what God can do, what he will do, and what he has already done. All miracles are from him. There are no limits to what he can heal in and for you. Let your faith rise with every answered prayer and every wrong that is made right. Pay attention to how the worries of yesterday dissipate in the light of God’s love as he provides for your needs. What God has done, he will continue to do. Praise him for it all!
Write down your prayers and don’t forget to follow up by recording the answers. The more you notice God’s goodness, the stronger your faith will be.
Whenever I feel darkness around me, YAHWEH himself will be the light that surrounds me.
MICAH 7:8 TPT
Life would be so different, so much lighter, if we could avoid the troubles and pitfalls. If only that were possible. It’s important to remember that it isn’t a failure of our faith when we experience painful circumstances. God’s Word instructs us to “consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials” (James 1:2 CSB). We will suffer because there is suffering in this world, but that’s not where it ends.
When we fall, we will rise again. Sometimes, God gets down into the muck with us and lifts us out (Psalm 40:2). Other times, he is the light that shines through our darkest night. He shuts the mouths of lions when we are in their den (Daniel 6:22). He keeps us company in the fiery furnace (3:25). In all things, we can be sure of God’s presence. The psalmist wondered, “Where can I flee from your presence?” (Psalm 139:7). His realization? There is nowhere on the earth, above it, or below it, where we can outrun the presence of God. This is very good news! Wherever you are, no matter what mess you are in, God is there, surrounding you with light, and he will help you.
Read the story of Daniel in the lion’s den.
[He] Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
1 PETER 2:24 NKJV
Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we could know God, belong to him, and walk in the light of his favor. Jesus died for our sins, and he also died for our sickness. Every wrong thing is made right in the power of his resurrection life—every single thing.
How have you known the power of God’s redemption in your life? How has he set you free? If you struggle to see where the strength of his love has made a difference in your life, today’s a good day to invite the Spirit of God to move in you. Whether you’ve been following him for a lifetime or a day, God promises freedom from sin, from guilt, from dread, and from shame. He promises abundance of life through the various fruits of his Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). He promises peace for anxiety, hope for despair, and healing for sickness. Take him up on it today!
Declare the power of God’s healing over a need you have, remembering that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed.
A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression.
PROVERBS 17:22 TPT
God wants you to know his joy that bubbles up from the inside like a spring of living water. It is meant to transform your perspective, your heart’s hope, and your very life—this includes your body.
Notice today’s verse doesn’t say “the one whose heart is crushed is in sin.” That is not what it is talking about. It doesn’t tell us what caused the broken heart. That is because many things can cause this damage: the death of a loved one, the betrayal of someone close to us, a traumatic experience—the list goes on. No matter the cause, when we find ourselves sick and depressed because of heartbreak, we don’t have to despair. God’s promise of life is for us, too. God has joy that doesn’t bypass our pain. It meets us in the cracks of it, filling them in with comfort. The presence of God’s joy raises our perspectives to meet the gaze of the lover of our souls. There is relief for every heart, soul, and body, and the relief is in Jesus. What cheerful medicine he offers!
Think about what brings you joy and spend time doing that this week. If nothing brings joy right now, ask God for a miracle of his presence to shift your heart.
I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.
PSALM 34:4 NLT
Fear is a very real factor in our lives. It can prevent us from taking steps to change. It can keep us from reaching out for help. It can be manipulated to keep us small, living with less than the abundance God wants for us. Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (NIV). When we are under the burden of fear, we are not experiencing the fullness of that freedom.
A great place for you to start today, if you are feeling overwhelmed by fear, or if it is a constant battle for you, is in Psalm 34. In desperation, the psalmist prayed, and God saved him from all his troubles (v. 6). Verse 5 promises, “Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” Pray to the Lord; look to him for help. Ask him to deliver you from the fear that keeps you living as a shell of the person you were made to freely be. God is faithful, and he will do it!
Take a step of faith and ask God to conquer your fear with the power of his love.
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
PSALM 34:8 NIV
God’s goodness is all around. It is found in the lifting of our burdens. It is in the way the sunlight filters through the trees. It is in a kind gesture. It is in the power of his presence as he floods our minds with his peace. Even when things are hard, we can experience the goodness of God.
King David declared in a time of great testing, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13). He continued, as if to himself, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD” (v. 14). We can know the goodness of God in the small moments, and we can hold on to the promise of his goodness in our waiting. God’s constant presence is full of fruit that nourishes us, no matter where we are or what we face. Let’s taste and see that God is who he says he is, and let’s hold on to his promises as we wait.
Consider what it means to take refuge in God. Where do you see his goodness in your life right now?
Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all.
MATTHEW 12:15 ESV
Jesus met each person who came to him with the same power of love, of presence, and of healing. Everyone who followed him in today’s story was healed. This is astounding, and it should break open the limits of our faith.
Jesus was faithful to heal in his earthly ministry, and he is faithful to heal today. The only criterion is that we follow him—that we go after him. It takes faith and resolve to go after the Lord. It takes an intention of our will and turning aside from distractions. Jesus is ready and willing to meet you in your weakness and to overwhelm it with his life-changing strength. Follow him; go after him. Take time to spend in his presence, his Word, and in prayer. Follow his leading and receive what he offers. He is not tired of your questions; you cannot exhaust him. Let his love lead you, and you will find your healing in him.
Take time to get away with Jesus today with an open heart.
“God is not a man, that He would lie, nor a son of man, that He would change His mind; has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
NUMBERS 23:19 NASB
God is the most reliable being in the universe. What he says, he does. What he promises, he fulfills. He doesn’t change his mind or his nature. He is full of love, consistent in wisdom, and overflowing in peace. You can take God at his word every single time.
Think about the most reliable person you know. Do you feel safe or reassured around them? Does their consistency allow you to hand things over to them and trust that they will do their part? Whatever safety you have found in your relationships, you can know the power of God’s unending faithfulness. It is like bedrock beneath your feet. It won’t give way when the world shakes and shifts. It won’t disappear or decay. The Word of the Lord endures. Psalm 33:11 says, “The plan of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.” Take heart! God’s promises will not fail.
Think about your expectations of God. Do you limit him to what humans are like, or do you trust the greatness of his nature?
“Men, have courage. I trust in God that everything will happen as his angel told me.”
ACTS 27:25 NCV
Courage. That is what is required of us when we trust the Lord. When God makes a promise, we can take him at his word. Still, that does not mean that God moves on our timeline. In fact, promises are not necessary unless they pertain to sometime in the future. The present moment doesn’t require a promise; it requires action.
If you have a promise from God, don’t lose heart today. Any moment could be the time he chooses to fulfill it. Often, he works out his promises in the process of life—in the journey. When we keep only the end goal in mind, we miss out on what we have today. But when we lose the vision of the promise, we don’t know what we are working toward anymore. The power of God is in every moment: past, present, and future. We can keep hold of the promises he makes and still experience his goodness as we walk with him in the day-to-day. As we get to know God’s character, we discover that our greatest treasure is in him, and he is always available.
Turn your attention to God and ask him for the courage you need for today and tomorrow.
No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.
ROMANS 4:20–21 ESV
Have you ever had trust broken in a close relationship? How did that affect your confidence in that person? Did it change how you saw others too? A betrayal of trust can cause us to question everything. When this happens, we need to repair that trust. But even when relationships cannot be repaired, God can heal the broken places in our hearts, minds, and souls.
If you need God’s healing touch in your relationships or in your trust, ask him today. His love repairs damaged cords and binds up the brokenhearted. He is able and willing to restore what others have broken, and he will refresh you in the canopy of his kindness. We can gain confidence from trusting in the faithfulness and consistency of God. We don’t have to wonder whether he will do what he said. He will not break our trust. He won’t let us down. Let’s lean into his love and allow him to heal our expectations. He is our greatest confidence, and this gives us courage to keep choosing his ways.
Ask God to repair your ability to trust.
Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 CSB
We have been made holy by the righteous sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His holiness is our holiness. We should live with that reality in our minds and hearts. We are not of the world, having been chosen out of it (John 15:19). Let us align our hearts and minds in the generous grace of God as it meets us, and let us pray for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven—even in our bodies.
When we are out of alignment, all sorts of things can be affected. Our attitudes, our bodies, and our thoughts may reflect the pain we experience as well as the influence of the world around us, but that is not how we are meant to stay. Just like a trip to the chiropractor puts our spines into alignment, a visit with the Holy Spirit gets our souls into place. Let’s not neglect the importance of our daily adjustments in his presence. They help us to walk straight and in line with his kingdom and ways.
Spend time in God’s presence and in his Word every day.
We are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.
ROMANS 8:28 TPT
God doesn’t miss any element of your life. Has there ever been a time when you could have faced disaster but didn’t? There was a way of escape when you least expected it. That was God working in your life. God moves to protect you from harm and from the Enemy.
