About the hypercar:
Koenigsegg's awesome Regera hypercar is unique in having no gearbox (the monstrous 2000Nm of torque offers rapid acceleration at any engine speed without the need for gears). The hybrid powertrain couples a twin turbo V8 with an electric motor to produce over 1500bhp, and can be driven for short distances in electric mode alone. Designed as a more luxurious alternative to Koenigsegg's other hard nosed offerings, the Regera features electric seats, LED headlining and a large TFT multimedia display. You can even remotely operate all the car's opening panels.
Just 80 examples of this 250mph hypercar will be produced, but It remains to be seen whether the the driving pleasure derived form moving through the gears blunts the success of the otherwise stunning Regera.
