Allergies are an abnormal response of the immune system. Your immune system produces antibodies that identify a particular substance (allergen) as something harmful, even though it isn't.

When you come into contact again with the allergen, your immune system's reaction can involve the airways, sinuses, nasal passages, skin, and digestive system. In severe cases, allergies can trigger a life-threatening reaction in your body known as anaphylaxis. Most of the symptoms of an allergic reaction are caused by histamin.

Symptoms of an allergic reaction are a runny and itchy nose, sneezing, inflamed and watery or swollen eyes (conjunctivitis), malaise, fatigue, headache, rough and scratchy throat, wheezing, nausea and vomiting, flaking and peeling skin, photosensitivity, fever, shortness of breath due to a narrowing of airways and a burning, red and itchy skin rash with blisters or swelling.

In the homeopathic and biochemical treatment (Schuessler salts) of allergies, detoxification therapies serve the activation of metabolism, the immune system and strengthening the body's circulation and connective tissue. It cleans, de-acidifies the body, is mineralizing and leads to a balanced life energy. The body will be purified and the dissolved metabolic waste, acids and toxins are excreted through the intestines, urinary tract, lungs and skin.

Allergies can be caused and reinforced by a mineral deficiency and an acidification of the body.
