What is Amazon Web Services?

AWS tutorial offers basic and advanced concepts tailored for both beginners and professionals.

AWS, short for Amazon Web Services, utilizes distributed IT infrastructure to deliver various IT resources on demand. Our AWS tutorial comprehensively covers topics including introduction, AWS history, global infrastructure, AWS features, IAM (Identity and Access Management), storage services, database services, and more.

AWS stands for Amazon Web Services, a cloud computing platform provided by Amazon. It leverages distributed IT infrastructure to offer a range of IT resources on demand, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). Amazon launched AWS to enable organizations to access reliable IT infrastructure.

Uses of AWS

Small manufacturing organizations expand their business while entrusting IT management to AWS.

Large enterprises with a global presence utilize AWS for training their distributed workforce.

Architecture consulting companies leverage AWS for high-compute rendering of construction prototypes.

Media companies use AWS to deliver various types of content, such as e-books and audio files, worldwide.

Pay-As-You-Go

AWS follows a Pay-As-You-Go model, allowing customers to access services without upfront commitments or investments. This model enables customers to procure services as needed.

Advantages of AWS

Flexibility: AWS offers instant access to new features and services, freeing up time for core business tasks. It simplifies hosting of legacy applications without requiring extensive technology transitions. AWS provides the choice to run applications and services together or separately.

Cost-effectiveness: AWS eliminates the need for upfront investments and long-term commitments, resulting in minimal expenses compared to traditional IT infrastructure.

Scalability/Elasticity: AWS employs auto-scaling and elastic load balancing to automatically adjust resources based on demand fluctuations, reducing costs and enhancing user satisfaction.
