In simple terms, Artificial Intelligence, often referred to as "AI," is the simulation of human intelligence in computers, programmed to think and learn like humans.

While discussions about the future of artificial intelligence are prevalent, AI is already integrated into our daily lives. Many aspects of society and industry are already affected by artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is important to be familiar with it in order to use it as a smart tool or collaborator.

Artificial intelligence is not a new phenomenon and has been used for years in everyday life. For example, applications like Google Maps or predictive text systems during typing rely on trained data. It has also been used for years in the education system.

This book specifically focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in education. Perhaps your goal in reading this book is to understand how artificial intelligence can assist you in your tasks. You might be looking for solutions to reduce your workload using AI or seeking to enhance creativity in your teaching. Or maybe you simply want to become acquainted with artificial intelligence. This book strives to address these queries comprehensively.

Decoding the Mind of Artificial Intelligence

Before we dive into the details, it's crucial to familiarize ourselves with the workings of artificial intelligence. Currently, there are thousands of AI models designed to generate images, text, music, or videos, collectively known as generative AI. However, only a limited number of advanced generative AI models have reached significant milestones. ChatGPT, the model we are using here, is an artificial intelligence text generator.

This type of artificial intelligence is composed of brains consisting of billions of artificial neurons. Artificial intelligence is more than just mathematical functions. To comprehend a sentence, it breaks it down into words or components referred to as tokens. For example, the sentence "I don't like" is read as "I", “don", “t”, “like”. Predicting the next token/word is also based on previous words, utilizing an intelligent model to provide the best responses. Unlike humans who read from left or right, artificial intelligence reads all tokens simultaneously.
