LILITH

My name is Linda, I am currently living happily with my husband who was my man-friend. I like older men. I had a friend named Lillith, she used to be my best friend, but now, she should be in the police station (roll eyes) I guess. Lillith was such a sweet friend, we were childhood friends but circumstances turned her into a monster.

Lillith mother died when she was 15 years old, my parents took her in and she stayed with us for 6 months before moving to Lagos, yes, I am from a very rich, my father was made commissioner recently but he is a business man. I met Lilith when I was coming back from school one sunny afternoon, we were 8 years old, she was hawking satchet water, I felt pity for her, I told my father I wanted to give her my food because she looked very hungry, my father agreed, I gave her the food I remained in the school, my father gave her money too. Since that day, we became friends, my parents got to know about her because they always took turns to bring me back from school. They took interest in Lilith that they had to bring she and her mother to my house every day to eat. Sometimes I go to her house, but I do not go alone, I would always go with a driver, the house happen to be close to my house, but not too close. I was seeing one particular man, I doubt the man even knew the meaning of smile, with wrinkles on his face and bleached skin like roastd corn. At first, I thought the man was Lilith’s father but Lilith would always tell me how the man neglect them and beat her mother, the man would go to the extent of binging girls to his house and the mother would be crying.
