Finding Orthodoxy took me Forty-Two years; it was a time of self-discovery, joining the Navy, trying my hand at Chinese Medicine, moving to Indianapolis from Daytona Beach; where I married and was blessed with a beautiful daughter. But wait, I am getting ahead of myself: I was born into the Mormon Church with my Grandfather being an elder of the local church in Fallon NV. Every time we set a date for me and my sister's baptism into the Church, I was never baptized Mormon. When I joined the Navy, my bunk mates provided ample reasons for me to join an interdenominational Church in Virginia Beach; I was also going to the local Calgary Assembly of God Church. I never really felt whole and stopped going to Church; It wasn't until I found Christ in the Greek and Antiochian Churches in Indianapolis that I truly felt I belonged; I am now going to a Greek Orthodox Church in Texas and I know that I am home.

What’s lost in our World today are collectively: Love, Hope, Faith and Charity: who are personified in the four daughters of Saint Sophia.
Being cynical is easy. However to believe in and see something without seeing: to hear without hearing; to love without being loved; to have the faith to move mountains1” and give everything of yourself, to accept the chaos that’s in life, all is nearly impossible without the aid of a Higher Power (God). Who gives us the paddles to Navigate and guide us through the waters on our Chosen Path. God provides our “Moral Compass” to know what is right and wrong. In His Word, we can find solace.
Without our Higher Power’s (my God’s) help, we jump from crisis to crisis and run experiments with People’s lives by not using or respecting the knowledge we gain through science; we end up hurting the very ones we profess to love.
Having sight to see is a privilege granted to me by my Loving God the Father Almighty; with Faith to move mountains, granted to me by my Loving God, the Son, Jesus Christ the only begotten; hearing the voices of the many as breathed into me by my loving God the Holy Spirit the Lord and Giver of Life.
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord, Lord have mercy, Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a Sinner!
In His Word we find Solace; In His Word we find Hope; In His Word we find Love
The “Word was in the beginning and the Word was with God and the Word Is God”2

Love is the only just and holy war: Two friends pledging loyal opposition to one another. I vow that I will defend the integrity of my being, we will met only as equals; I will present myself to you in the fullness of my being and will expect the same of you. I will not cower, apologize or condescend. Our covenant will be to love one another justly and powerfully; to establish and cherish inviolable boundaries; to respect our separate sanctuaries. We will remain joined in the sweet agony of dialogue the contest of conversation, the dialect of love until we arrive at a synthesis.

As I hold my friend so tight
I feel our energies flow
I never want to break our grip
I don’t ever want to let you go
As I look into your eyes
I see a beautiful soul
As I look into my own
A reflection never to go
The pain and anger that once I felt
Are slowly, slowly gone
This, the Fruits of Our Labor
The Seeds that Friendship Sow
Together as we walk and grow
Forever in our hearts
We shall never be alone
For Love We Will Always Know

Our love is the love which is built on trust
Never to chip, peel, breakaway or rust
Our love we feel with all our might
Is centered on the love of the love that is right
The love we knew at the edge of our pond
Is the love we knew which sealed our bond
Our love will be whatever it may
So strong our love that we won’t us betray
Our love is the knowing that we know we can
The Strongest Love, this Love of Man
Together Forever as we learn to feel
Our Love is the most Powerful Love that Heals

Together Forever we’ll always be
Two hearts joined for all to see
Open your heart and fully receive
The love we know our truth to be
Our love brings to each wonderful day
The bright and glowing sun to say
It’s all right to feel this feeling with hue
Because in each day we begin our beginning of new
Together forever as we walk in life
Our hearts can feel no feeling of strife
Together forever we grow never apart
For each day we build a stronger new start
Our love is based on the healing white light
Energy stronger, more powerful than the darkest of night
Together forever with patience to see
Our love will grow even stronger in you and me

Our Spirit of Life we hold so dear
Is kept so quiet for none to hear
The pain we feel that is on display
Is the hurt that is, each and every day
How do we break free from this spell so mean?
By feeling the love that fills us green
For life herself is meant to be
Happy and joyous for all to see
The joy and laughter our children display
We too can have each wonderful day
Awareness and acceptance of who we are
Define our purpose in life so far
Attuned in harmony in everything we do
So we can enjoy the fullness of our lives too

The eagle circles high above the canyon caves
the dolphin leaps through the ocean waves
as we walk through the promised land
our heads held high giving not a helping hand
The eagle my brother using his gift of sight
flies higher than most into the night
below he sees a crying young man
with compassion he lands as only he can
the young man explains that he is lost
“I asked for help, but what was the cost?"
The eagle my brother with powerful wings
picked up the young man and started to sing
the love he heard was ever so clear
as he was held by my brother so near
so thick and armor plated was his heart that nothing could penetrate
the young man had to go and isolate
The dolphin my brother lives in the seven seas
with angry young men who can’t live in harmony
the pain of loneliness was their only bond
which helped them live on the world's largest pond
seaman's companion and savior be
the wisest of all on the highest high sea
The dolphin my brother with his sonar engaged
found the buried pain that has kept me caged
The dolphin my brother with love in His eyes
sends me back to Where Eagles Fly
the pain of loneliness and fears of mine
are canceled by my brothers' love combined

Here again on the beach
I quiet my thoughts by looking within
The quietness touches my trembling soul
Deeper within I reach for those boundaries
Of walls so high and over due
By living love in its entirety
Those walls are bound to fall
Here again on the beach
Looking within with pure heartfelt love
Those walls came tumbling down
To show the beauty in all around
