Day 1
“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace”
-Exodus 14:24
Let God fight for you in all your circumstances. No matter how hard you try or try to fix things on your own, you will always need God's help. It takes a lot of strength to let go of situations and just hand them over to God. It also takes a lot of faith and trust to allow God to fight our battles. But that's what He wants. He wants to fight for you. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for you because He loves you. God was fighting for your salvation then, so let Him fight your battles now. By being willing to hand your problems over to God and let Him fight for you, you will find incredible peace in your life. God knows everything, and He can help guide you through any storm you may be facing right now. All you have to do is trust Him and allow Him to fight for you. Looking at this verse, how can you apply it to your life?
Day 2
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me”
-Philippians 4:13
As an individual, it's easy to approach a problem and think you can solve it on your own. It's wrong, because to truly overcome trials and persecutions in life, you need God's help. No matter how big or small the problem, God can solve it. All you need to do is turn to Him and ask Him for help, strength, wisdom or advice for the particular situation.
This verse tells us that we can do anything, even what we think is impossible, if we have the strength of Jesus Christ. This strength is not something you can train or get by going to the gym seven days a week. This is a strength from Christ that resides in us from the Holy Spirit. It will help us endure the trials and persecutions that we all face in this lifetime at one point or another. There is no limit to how much strength you will receive from Christ during your lifetime, because of one simple fact. God is limitless. Therefore, the strength from Christ is also limitless. This strength can not only pull you through a trial, but also it can and will bring you closer to God. It can help you realize how much we need Him every day of our lives. This verse literally says that if you have Christ in your life, there is nothing you cannot do if you open your heart to Him and let God control your circumstances.
Day 3
“For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.”
-Psalm 18:39
We face battles every day with spiritual warfare. God has not only given us the strength to rise above these battles, but He has also laid this strength on us like a garment that will follow us wherever we go in life. By using the power of God, we will overcome these battles and our enemies will be subdued before us and all our enemies will be overpowered. To be overpowered means that our enemies have lost their strength and intensity over us which means our enemies or those who rise up against us, will be powerless against us and our lives. When we face these battles, we need only to look to God for guidance and strength. We need to also not concern ourselves with the due punishment for our enemies because it is written, almost word for word twice, that our enemies will lose their power over us.
Day 4
“You are of God little children and have overcome them: because greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world.”
-I John 4:4
As a child of God, we all go through hard times and walk through the valley of trouble. We all have adversaries and unfortunately our adversaries are frequently close to us, they can be our family, friends and neighbors. Whatever the trouble and whomever the adversary or enemy is, know that there's one higher power inside of you, walking with you and fighting all the battles for you. In times you are weak, God will strengthen and revive you. When you are exposed to the wrath of your enemies, God will stretch out His hand against them, because His power is stronger than the wrath of your adversaries and the powers of evil and darkness.
Day 5
Be encouraged today to stay focused on God rather than your circumstances and what others think or say about you.
Fear you not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God: I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. Yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
-Isaiah 41:10
God is mentioning to us in this verse, that he is with us. While we undergo time of hassle, whilst life comes at us hard and our adversary might bring us to our knees, God has vowed to help and strengthen us, to get us back unto our feet again, and He alone is our strength, our help, our way of life. He is all that we need to make it thru. As we undergo those trials which all of us face,
Know that God is protecting you with his right hand, his hand of power and because he is holding you, you aren’t going to crumble, you aren’t going to be destroyed, but rather you will prosper and come out of the trial victorious.
Day 6
“Then shall the Righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
-Matthew 13:43
This scripture refers to the coming Kingdom-Age. However, when we pray and meditate God reveals to us that before we come to the knowledge of Gods-saving-Grace and get saved, we were often unrighteous and lived in darkness. But after receiving the Lord and savior Jesus Christ into our hearts and lives, then we are made righteous through the “Blood of the Lamb”, and so the darkness passes away as we step into the light.
When the sun sets at the end of a day, it gets dark. It might remind us of things coming to an end, and of the darkness to come. When the sun rises, the light comes, this can remind us of man saved by Grace. Man can only be saved, when we hear the true word. It is God's will that every man and woman hear the true word of God! Today I challenge you to step out and tell someone about Jesus Christ and how He died on the cross at Calvary so that man can be saved. Obey the word of God so that ALL who have ears to hear will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and come out of darkness into light.
Day 7
“Then came Peter to Him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Jesus said unto him, I say not unto you, until seven times: but until seventy times seven.”
-Matthew 18:21-22
Jesus Christ is telling us that we are to forgive those who have harmed us, and it requires us to reconcile as brothers and sisters, and pardon those who need to be forgiven as many times as they ask.
For as long as we live, people including family and friends, are going to say or do something to hurt or offend us.
At times, they will come to us and ask for our forgiveness, at other times, may act as if they never hurt us, move on with their lives and never ask for our forgiveness.
Whether they beg or not, it is imperative that we forgive them. When we choose to hold grudges and not forgive, it doesn't hurt the person who hurt us, it hurts ourselves.
Ultimately, what they did to us will fester and before we realize it, a spirit of resentment, bitterness, revenge and strife will settle in and we will find ourselves in bondage. Meaning, those spirits will be controlling us, stealing our peace and joy.
