Twenty-five is so unique, let it be the only number you ever use.  What is so special about twenty-five? because I chose it.   And so it is in life, whatever you decide is unique will be. You only need to say it and agree, and watch the world join you and say yes,  indeed, you are right, twenty-five is truly special.    Always remember this: you are capable of making anything unique; you are powerful.   SOLE is a collection of incredible and mind-blowing poems, with life lessons for you to live to fullness and be free.   It is true that a good number of people believe in greatness, but only a few understand that achieving it could depend on the extent to which you want it.   You can not have greatness without first yearning for it. Greatness happens to only those who desire to live great and go on the journey to achieving it.  Do you genuinely yearn for greatness or assume that distinction is meant for a selected few?   No one is born to leave a mark of greatness; whether rich or not, it is our responsibility to make great things happen to us; and you must first understand this.

Chapter 1

                                  THE INSIDE OUT

Do you leave me in lonely water and expect to get me back on dry?

You know my plight and what I've been through

You knew the price I had to pay to get back on the deck.

You were never there for me, and you refused my call.

And now you want me to receive your call?

I will, but you must assure me that you will be ready to know how far the journey will be, to reconsider.

I refuse to be a victim a second time, or do you want the same again for me?

'When do you intend to figure things out yourself?

Why do you expect me to come running to your camp when all you've got is a part of me and a piece of you,

you told me, remember?

But I was always blind to your faults, yet you saw mine.

Now, go your way, do all you want and never declare me bankrupt, or I'll just sit and listen to your loud rants- which is all I know.

And I'll be grateful that you broke the stitch that binds us.

What, do you expect me to bounce back to your arms after defining me as a mere fling?

Now you can see the pillar that I was.

I am still extending my hands to you, so take hold of them and follow me now on the path I have found.

I can see that merry is far from you, which is why I have decided to lead you to merry itself.

And I ask one more time that you believe.

Chapter 2

THE KING AND HIS BRUTE CABINET

Never accept a king with a bellyful of infamy.

His decisions and words he never weighs.

His cabinet knows this, but they are cowards.

They never challenge his declaration.

Even in his folly, they remain silent.

They prefer to sit and ask for their meat, “A generous request” they call it.

Putting the people in jeopardy.

When will all of this stop?

We may not know merry, but we want freedom and are ready to get it.

Tell the lame that we are on the way to the palace.

The city that was built-in hard labour is in disarray.

Our state is a mockery of our dream.

We do not even have meat or a pillar.

The King and his cabinet have made it known, that the people’s wailings do not matter.

So it is up to us to get the freedom we want and own it.

We start from now to tell everyone to forge their path.

And never listen to the tales of a king’s folly.

Chapter 3

THE INVITE LIST IN THE BOOK SCROLL

Weren’t you invited to the banquet of kings?

Didn’t you see the posters on tables and walls, doesn’t everyone have this for a reminder?

I see you lagging, still with your bedclothes. Why will you reject this searchlight of hope, given to all?

Don’t you see that you have been given a free slot, are you already about to dismiss and waste it?

What happens when you become the one roaming the streets, with questions unanswered?

Why now do you want to throw the goldmine away?

I wouldn’t be too nice to persuade you to come to the feast, but because I think you deserve to tag along.

Be wise enough to choose this moment, it is a rare privilege, one which is not always given.

You must learn to recognise opportunities when they come.

Verse 2

I saw a man who asked about my lineage, I told him I didn’t have any.

But he insisted I did, or he would give one to me.

I sure objected, but he came fully fitted with a lengthy book scroll, which I quickly sighted.

And also because I knew that all along with that, in the scroll, are answers.

It was the guide I searched for. Finally, my caged mind was becoming free from blurs.

And from then onwards, I was going to promise to stick by the truth, that living life to the fullest, was up to me to achieve.

It is the gain I need to make, in this game of life.

Chapter 4

THE EMPIRE'S QUEST

The empire’s quest still stands.

It is a chance to become a better version of who I was.

I will walk my path unrelentingly until I win the prize.

I will go to the king and eat at his table.

I am told that I do not deserve the palace, but I object because I am much more

deserving than they know.

A TISSY MOMENT

I used to be out for those I thought were better than me.

I considered them a threat, but meanwhile I was only insecure.

And like a weed, I became my own obstacle, refusing to be pruned.

Preferring to disguise .

And one day, as I looked up, I noticed how tall the others had grown.

I wonder, what have I been doing?

Surely I’d been left behind.

My insecurities had the best of me, because I refused to be pruned, remaining a weed instead.

Chapter 5

 THE MEN FROM THE WATERSIDE

The Bigotry city is burnt down and nothing remains.

I see the men from the waterside, how they hurry on the highways, to the burnt Bigotry city.

They move so quickly that everyone, gives way, without questions or complaints.

Who wants to be crushed or drowned by men, that know the corners and safe spots inside a shark?

The deepest waters are their abode, even their children play in the depths of great seas.

They are men but not ordinary ones.

They built the Bigotry city as a reminder, that their kinds can become mere men.

This kept them in check.

Although it may sound like a tale to you, it is not just a story.

The Bigotry city was one, which the men from the waterside, never took for granted.

So it is why they hurry to save even the dust, of the burnt Bigotry city.

Now let’s see what happens next if, they still rebuild the Bigotry city or not.

Chapter 6

DANCE MORE TIMES

Let not the burdens of life weigh you.

Ignite the spark to burn the stigma.

For your worth is much more than sticks and you are almost at the peak, where the game is played to your favour.

Envy and striving will not lead you to the top.

Checking on others’ fortunes and spitting on them will only burn you.

There is a place for those who feast on mischief and you do not belong there.

Do not be strayed from the way that leads to light.

True there are ugly faces but do not look their way and keep their tools.

For they will try to stop every hero, do not let them win.

Never listen to men whose delusions hide their faces – they speak nothingness.

Continue to stand for you are taller than they can know.

Make your days great because you can.

Chapter 7

 THE FAR LEAVES

Every time I go to the countryside, I see earthen leaves, their shoots are sharpened and brightened,

but their faces hide, so I never see them.

But today I saw the farmer.

I met him and told him that the leaves looked better than the others, down the road.

But he shook his head and continued to dig the ground.

And then, suddenly, he turned to me and said, ‘leave them alone, they never shine or brighten, they are dried in all seasons.’

How is that true, seeing their present state? I said.

‘I prune their weeds to keep them groomed to stay alive. They have just pruned weeds,’ he told me and continued to dig.

I marvelled at his story, and walked away, and never back to the farm or looked at the leaves.

Life is a puzzle.
