Beschreibung

It is amazing to be loved by God. Don't you feel blessed to be loved by a Father who deeply loves you regardless of all your imperfections? God's love is so beautiful. His love is so powerful, the human mind cannot comprehend it. There's no love greater than the love of God. No love can satisfy you like the love of God.

God's love does something to us and in us that we cannot explain.
He loves us because it is His nature to, not because of what we did or didn't do right? We deserve nothing, but He gives us everything. We deserved death for our sins but He gave us life through the blood of Jesus Christ. In spite of our shortcomings, God's love is showered upon us in its wholeness and awesomeness.

He expresses His unfathomable love for us in so many awesome ways - in His love we find so many beautiful things that He adorns us with. God wants us to extend His love to others and we can only love the right way when we make Him our source of love. This book tells us how.

Introduction

 What is Love?

Love is a simple, yet complex term. It is one of the most powerful feelings we experience as human beings. There is no specific definition of the word "love", as it has a number of connected but distinct meanings which can be used in different contexts.

The word "love" can be used to show affection to people dear to us like our parents, spouses, children and friends. Love can also be used to express satisfaction from things like jobs, houses, cars, mobile phones, pets, jewelry, to name a few. Love can be expressed in form of admiration - you can love a person's sense of fashion, a person's physique, a person's sense of humor, or the sound of a person's voice. The colour of your eyes, your skin tone, your hair texture, and nails are physical features that you can love. The expressions of love in these contexts are not wrong at all, but love is deeper and more complex than that.

Let us look at a few dictionary meanings of love:

As a noun -

A sense of intense or consistent affection. An allure that involves sexual impulses. A deep feeling of love by people who are romantically involved. A deeply tender, intense affection for another person. A feeling of warm personal connection or deep affection to parents, child or friend. Sexual passion or desires. Unselfish, loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another; the fatherly concern of God for mankind.

As a verb -

An act of showing concern for the good of another. To hold dear. To have a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. To have love or affection for another person; be in love. Showing warm personal attachment or deep affection for parents, children and friends.

Why is love so important to human beings?

Everyone desires to be loved regardless of gender, race, social status or religion - in other words, love does not discriminate. Humans are social beings by nature so relationships are very important to us; love maintains relationships. Knowing that you are loved by someone is the best feeling in the world. A life without love will be boring and lonely - no one wants to be lonely. In fact, a life without love is no life. Such a life is meaningless. Love is meant to be shared. It is to be given and received (to love and be loved). If you look deeper, you will discover that love is more about giving than receiving.
