Over time, the Macintosh computers have got the constant improvements, and the latest operating system, MacOS Big Sur of version 11 is the successor to the immediate past version (MacOS Catalina of version 10.15).
The MacOS Big Sur possesses some great features, and among them, the redesigned User Interface featuring new blurs, with a view to establishing a visual hierarchy with an additional revamp of a backup of the Time Machine Mechanism.
In addition to the above, you would notice that it also supports other MacBooks with processors that are ARM-based, and for the very first time in 21 years, the version number of the operating system got increased from 10 to 11, receiving its name after the coastal region of Big Sur, situated at the Central Coast of California.
Besides, since the MacOS X was introduced, Apple has described the MacOS Big Sur as the biggest change among all other Apple devices as a result of the introduction of the new color palette, translucency in some of the various places, streamlined and redesigned Dock and Menu Bar, now having rounded-square shapes just like the iPadOS and iOS applications, and lastly with improved system sounds.
When you compare your Big Sur with iOS, you would find out the icons of Big Sur has more highlights and shading, giving you a three-dimensional display.
From Control Center, if you need some quick edit toggles for screen brightness, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and system volume, they have all been added to the Menu Bar, and this interface is visually and functionally similar to the Control Center you have on iPadOS and iOS.
However, your Notification Center has got a new redesign that features interactive notifications and a new system of widget that is exactly like the iOS 14, which displays more customizable information than the previous version.
Ultimately, the very first MacOS release for MacBooks is MacOS Big Sur, and it's powered by Apple's redesigned ARM64-based processors. This is a vital part of the transition from Intel x86-64-based processors.
In this user guide, both Kerry and Gary had shared from their wealth of expertise and experience into the amazing new features and improvements which the new MacOS Big Sur shares, including practical directions with pictorial-illustrations on how you can unbox and setup your new MacBook.
Now this comes with $999 for the base model, goes up to $2049 with 2 Terabytes of storage with 16 GB of RAM. This is actually a bump up from the base model. It's $1249 with 512 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM.
Let's go ahead a take the wrapper off, and take the top of the box off.
And this comes in three different colors, space grey, silver, and gold.
This is the space grey model. Design-wise, it should be the same with the 2020 MacBook Air.
So here is the MacBook itself.
We may set this aside for just a moment and inside the box, we have a USB-C cable for charging, and then we have
a little bit of paperwork here, so if we can open this up, you would find some
paperwork in here where you can have access to the MacBook Air Guide, a warranty card, and two space grey Apple stickers, so they match the space grey
