Beschreibung

In this book I wanted to collect all the short stories written so far. All the writings are original and collect the author's emotions and experiences. The author has specially created images for each of them with various pictorial and graphic techniques. Some of them analyze the reality of the pandemic with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have. The underlying objective of the writing of this collection is mainly to fight the coronavirus also by telling positive and negative stories always with a thin thread of hope. Obviously, all references to facts and people are purely coincidental since they originated from the author's imagination.

Introduction

These short stories were inspired by the period that has just passed and continues to this day.

Some of the six short stories contained in this collection are full of hope for the future while others analyze reality with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have.

Obviously all references to facts and people are random since they originate from the author's imagination.

Aradia's Recipes

Nicola was a very curious and lively child who was always scolded by anyone for this. He had two lively eyes and curly black hair that was always a bit messy, because he never stood still. He knew he didn't have to go to the attic, it was where his grandmother carried all her junk and it could even be dangerous without an adult watching over him.

<Never go to Nicola's attic, please> said the mother.

<Yes mom don't worry I know I don't have to go> said Nicola.

The grandmother was a bit strange, she always wore black and had two large and inquiring eyes, she was almost intimidating, but now the poor thing was not well, she had started coughing one day at dinner and then they never saw her again, now mom had started coughing too and the doctor said it could be COVID-19 and she had to stay home.

One day they talked to him about this new being almost invisible, but so bad, which they called the virus or rather coronavirus, which entered from the mouth or nose and made people feel so bad. And now that he has also arrived at the house, for fear Nicola has run away to the only place where no one could enter even this little being. The attic seemed the ideal solution and he huddled under his grandmother's desk.

He stayed there for a long time, even he doesn't know how long. At some point she decides to rummage through her grandmother's things to find something to have fun. As he is about to leave, he bangs his head against the desk and to his great surprise a hidden drawer opens.

<Mom that's bad! What a blow! I'll have broken grandma's desk! Who hears it now!> He said, looking out at the drawer.

<It looks like a notebook> he thought, taking the object in his hand.

On the cover was written: "Recipes of Aradia".

<But who is this Aradia, never heard of!> He thought starting to leaf through the notebook.

<uhmm .... let's see what recipes they are, if they are good I let my mother make them.> he said, looking forward to tasty dishes that made his stomach rumbling with his hunger.

<So ... Recipe for rheumatic pains ... Recipe for toothache ... but they look like recipes for healing from ailments> thought Nicola.

<Who knows if there is a recipe for this coronavirus?>

<How can I find anything if I don't know what kind of disease it is?>

Nicola then took the Smartphone that his father had given him at Christmas to do some research on the internet that the teacher had assigned him with distance learning.

<Now I'm looking on the internet for something about this coronavirus. Dad said to only go to certain sites ... so I write here Coronavirus and click here ... ok ... and then ... here is the list of sites ... ok ... this is one of those that Dad wrote to me ... I click ... ok ... I entered ... then ... Wide family of respiratory viruses that can cause from the common cold to serious diseases, such as acute respiratory syndrome ... interstitial pneumonia ... Covid-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019), ... highly contagious ... ok ... so respiratory disease>

He puts the phone on the desk and picks up the notebook.

<So ... let's see if there is something about the cough or something like that> he thought, leafing through the cookbook.

<Here ... I found ... Recipe for respiratory disease ... Recipe for contagious respiratory disease ... maybe this is fine!>

<Let's see ... Recipe for 10 infected people ... I want to start with the principle of this ancient recipe adopted since time immemorial for the various respiratory epidemics that have occurred over the centuries, that it is necessary to be equipped with courage, trust and initiative because the ingredients they are many, precious and come from all parts of the globe>

<How will I, when I am still a child, find all the necessary ingredients! The grownups certainly won't help me! I read in a book that adults can no longer see with the eyes of fantasy> he thought.

Continuing to read <Very important for the effectiveness of the recipe is that it must be prepared by a successor of the writer. Only a successor of mine has the power to make the recipe effective thanks to the green stone of hope that we have handed down to us for centuries>.

<I don't know the story of this Aradia how do I know if we are related? I can only ask my sister Maria for help and let's hope for the best!>

Meanwhile he decides to close the desk drawer, go downstairs and hide the notebook under his bed in the middle of the newspaper basket.
