Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception Walkthrough

Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception is the third in a series, following the adventures of treasure hunter, Nathan Drake.

With his old friend Victor Sullivan and an array of familiar faces, you step into Drake’s shoes as he sets out to find a lost city of legend, taking you from London to the Arabian Peninsula, retracing the steps of his ancestor, Sir Francis Drake.

With new features, including the ability to fight multiple enemies at once and backwards climbing, the game is better than ever before.

Battle and climb your way through campaign mode, divulging yourself in Drake’s story or jump into multiplayer, battling against your friends on the Playstation Network.

Whatever you choose, this guide is here to help you to complete the whole game as well as where to find all pieces of treasure and how to solve the varying puzzles. At the end, you’ll see advice on how to unlock content and trophies.

So lets go.

Chapter One

This is short and sweet. It begins with a cutscene to watch. You will then have control of Drake. Follow the on screen prompts as you engage in your first fight. Sully will say, “Ok, lets go” at which point you need to head to the door. You will then be thrown through a window.There is treasure by the jukebox, find it to receive the “First treasure” trophy.

You will be dragged into the bathroom. Make sure you counter his blows with triangle. Use square to attack. The fight is over, so just head out of the bathroom. Now if you look on a shelf behind the bar, you’ll find another treasure! Meet back up with Sully and continue to the kitchen where, yep, there are even more people wanting to fight you! Sully will help, but take out the rest! Then head outside to trigger a cutscene.

Chapter Two

At the very start of this chapter, there are a few bits of treasure to be found! First of all, you need to look in the third canon that you see on your right. That’s where the first one is. Now head on past the canons, staying to the right and go to the back of the room, near the staircase. You’ll find a pot plant, which is where the treasure is hidden! So now you have the downstairs treasure, go upstairs. In the middle of the room will be the display cabinet you are looking for, containing Drake’s ring. Press up when you are prompted to and watch the cutscene.

You’ll be thrown out of the building, so move down the street, but when you see a partly open door, near a blue car, check it for the treasure hidden there! Keep following Sully. At the fork in the road, you need to head right and then take cover beside a car. You’ll be prompted and when you are, press circle. Continue to follow the prompts as you stalk Sully, moving between covers. There will be a short scene amongst this, but continue following Sully, taking right again when given a choice.

Enter the market area and you will see some stairs to your left. Look across the street from there and you’ll now see two stalls that have jars on top. Head over and you’ll find the treasure on the stall to the right.

For another piece of treasure, continue down the street from the stalls, but don’t follow Sully inside. Instead you need to go left and find a white staircase. Climb them and at the top will be another treasure!

So now you can follow Sully again. Backtrack and now follow him inside the building. If you go to the back of the room, hit triangle and go through the door, you’ll find yourself back on the street and see Sully going into another building! You can’t get inside here, so it’s time to do some climbing.

Scale the building. Go to the left of the door and press X to jump. Drake will hold on to the yellow beams. Once you go as high as you can, go left and follow the building around. Move along the edge of the door balcony, onto the next and go up. You’ll reach a yellow pipe. From there, swing your way forward, eventually jumping to the column and then finally to another balcony. At the second window, jump up onto the column and watch the scene.

Now you need to carry on along the building, going right and swing from the yellow pipe to the next balcony.

There is another piece of treasure to be found. If you go to the other side of the balcony, you’ll find it by a pot plant.

So now you need to jump over the railing, on to the ’24 Horas’ sign and then jump to the building on the right. Move yourself left, climb up onto the ledge you were just shimmying along, and then jump to the next legde. Get onto the roof and move up it. You will see a ‘Hotel Arrecife’ sign.

If you climb to the top of this sign, you will find treasure.

Now climb down the sign and drop back on to the street. Head up the stairs and across the street, continuing to follow Sully.

Chapter Three

Once you have control of Drake, you need to walk forward and jump to the rope. Shimmy your way across it and onto the roof. You’ll see a grey box against a wall. Climb on it to jump onto the next piece of roof. Move across the rooft and you’ll see some planks of wood resting against a railing. Jump off here, onto a street light and swing to the next one. Drake won’t actually make it but will drop down and catch hold of the roof.

If you drop down on to the balcony and run along it to the end, you’ll find a bench. There will be more treasure.

Now go to the blue door and enter pressing triangle. If you go to the old diving suit, you’ll find more treasure.

The last piece of treasure can be found near the entrance of the room, by the lever.

Now you have all the treasure, go ahead and inspect the display case in the middle of the room. You will see a cutscene. Now you’ve got to run. Head upstairs and at the top, climb up and drop through the window above the door. Keep going upstairs, press triangle at the top and exit. As you continue to escape, squeezing through a gate, the men will grab you. Press square repeatedly to shake them off.
