"Lo de Mancilla no es solo un texto literario. Su crear se desliza a otros registros visuales y de lenguas - geografías. Es una etnografía poético - visual de ese mundo que nos han robado. Todos sus puños / todas sus letras tallan en el aire un tratado de cine en el que cada plano visual sirve para medir otra arista perdida / olvidada del mundo - vida. Así, lo suyo deviene en un filme - poesía compuesto por imágenes en las que la palabra deviene en gesto, el gesto en acción y la acción en un plano continuo biselado en mil fotogramas cristalinos. Este registro de la vida se proyecta en un complejo desarrollo fotográfico en el que se combinan dos distancias focales: la panorámica del gran angular y el plano detalle del teleobjetivo. En el montaje rítmico doma la moviola como quien cabalga la estepa con unos cortes que no fijan, sino liberan los tiempos (del pasado / del presente) en múltiples planos", nos dice Alex Schlenker.
