This book is a work of fiction and any resemblance to persons, living or dead, or places, events or locales is purely coincidental.

It is intended only for adults over the age of 18 and all characters are represented as 18 or over.

At the age of my realization, my family was whole. My dad Euston Stone was known for his wealth and the political position he was vying for the coming election. My mom was always there to support him. They had their problems and family setbacks. This didn’t come in their way when it came to business. At this point my family was in crisis and though my parents always got solutions to every problem, this time this seemed to be overcoming them. The elections were in a month and everything had to look okay. Dad and mum buried their family problems at the moment.

My name is Jeremy Stone. I was fourteen years old when everything happened. I went to school at Green Valley Academy. My girlfriend’s name was Regina Smith. Am I too young to be talking about a girlfriend?  Yeah, but I was lovable and from a well off family.

Regina was the most beautiful girl in the school. She had every boy on their knees, but it was easy for me. We shared the same social status and that made us get along so well. Her father was the prime minister. I know that says it all, we were family friends. I was at a point where everything seemed hard but she was always there for me.

My parents were having problems in their marriage and this was not an easy thing for me. I saw my parents happy together all my life; dad gifting mum and taking us out on weekends.  The thought of them being separated wouldn’t skip my mind. Regina understood my worries and she was always there for me during these hard moments. Her parents were having the same problems and that made it easy for us to share our experiences.
