Dedication

To my spiritual masters, and especially to Srila Prabhupada, who represents the Supreme Truth.

To my family, spiritual and physical, and for the people of this world, because we are all children of God.

Cover story

Eternal. A short word for a small infinity.

As in the name of heaven, how does a human even come up with this idea?

What does life tell us that we assume an infinite relationship beyond birth and death?

There, in the middle of this question, stands the eternal Self, untouched and free, eternal and indestructible.

It is a kind of self-confidence and humanity school, which is necessary to let the individual finally grow, infinitely into a wise human, Homo sapiens.

We pause this idea, wise writings provide information and masterful teachers explain:

Eternal life is in us, and the centre of this world.

Anyone who knows believes and consciously accepts this can enter the eternal, golden age of humanity.

A beautiful place, in the middle of the heart of every living being, allows a journey back to God, to the actual home of the eternal soul, the self.

The author is most pleased to present the eternal knowledge authoritatively and to give instructions for this journey, according to the guidance of master teachers of the Holy Scriptures.

With the help of a traveller, we make our way to the source where humanity and the Vedas originate, and here we draw on the knowledge that makes a perfect, conscious & spiritual life possible.

In stories, recitations and poetry, we learn how the traveller got to the source and, day in, day out, listened and absorbed there.

The truth never remains silent, even though it hears everything and is personal.

Get to know this place and join us on a journey that leads you to the eternal source of knowledge, from where everything said can be learned.

The time of empty words is over because what remains is eternity.

“This supreme science was thus received through the chain of disciplic succession, and the saintly kings understood it in that way. But in course of time, the succession was broken, and therefore the science as it appears to be lost."

(Wisdom from the Bhagavad-Gitā, chapter 4, verse 2)

The author's task is now to inspire you and revive this transcendental knowledge.

Are you ready for a trip?

Preliminary remark on the Vedas and the transfer of knowledge

I want to grow old like a tree, just as the poet describes it... Maybe you know the song.

How about that? I want to be as old as a book...

The oldest, sacred, and authorised collection of scriptures in history are the Vedas, which were once written on palm leaves.

The actual message from the Vedas was handed down orally. However, the essence of the Vedas is eternal, transcendental and unfathomable.

Just as the actual transfer of knowledge took place from master to student, so this connection has existed since then.

The Vedas tell that the eternal knowledge of Bhagavan Kṛṣṇa was passed on to the sun god, who then passed the knowledge to the kings of mankind.

In the awareness of this sequence, knowledge comes again and again, and again.

No matter which sun is currently lit by a universe, the Supreme Personal God, Kṛṣṇa, passed on this knowledge to precisely these entities, such as Visvasvan, the Sun God.

Srila Prabhupada, the sublime spiritual master of an entire generation, also sits in this line.

His instruction was that all his students become teachers and write books to disseminate knowledge.

His student Jayadvaita Swami and also his student Kadamba Kanana Swami are now my direct links in this parampara, master-disciple succession.

So I follow my master, Kadamba Kanana Swami, and the previous masters, such as Jayadvaita Swami, as well as the Grand Master of the Vedas and founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to serve as a medium of this master student succession.

Knowledge comes to us in the form of light, vibration and consciousness, which is heard in the heart. So everyone can sit down, listen to the heart and tap into the cosmic source of knowledge.

Everyone can receive eternal knowledge.

That's exactly why we should go on an inner journey to recognise who we are and what we really need.

A Journal entry

The traveller's diary says:

A journey to yourself

"Experience life like on a journey..." how the first travel ever began, and lo and behold; the possibility remains.

Consciousness is fascinating because it is constant and moving. Both are completely independent, and in the game with the elements.

In consciousness, travelling is sublime, and yet humble one finds oneself, as a guest in this reality.

Just as the soul is a guest in this world, in this time, in this body, so is the traveller also a guest in places, with strangers, and perhaps also consciously in the heart of one's self.

A journey can show complete life, in consciousness and the middle of all elements.

Travelling like the way,

Why, you are quiet,

Always Your stay,

All around bid,

Like the beggar,

What everyone did,

As a guest, you start

And who are you in part?

(Poem: Travel, Life Trip)

Whoever we believe to be, life is a journey to eternal truth.

And who we are, forever?

“Live in peace. Chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and be happy.”

(Srila Prabhupada)

Introduction

This book serves as a poetic, scientific and experience-based exchange between author and reader, from soul to soul, from friend to friend.

If you have doubts as to whether God exists or whether the soul is really in the heart, please take the sacred literature of this earth as a basis, otherwise, this book can only be realised by a serious and interested reader.

This book serves to close certain gaps in spiritual education, and common education, because no one is perfect, and so our human paths and plans are flawed.
