Beschreibung

Divided into three sections, Existence is a dream-like collection of poems whose words express the feelings of love and sadness we all experience at some point in our lives. The author has written a down-to-earth, accessible collection that speaks to many aspects of life and love, with one section focusing on death. Readers will be able to relate to many of the poems and feel a connection to their words: the author has a magical way of having you connect on a personal level with every one of his poems.

Born in Mombasa, Kenya, and raised in The Hague, Caelan Amaris, meaning "Graceful Child of the Moon," spent most of his childhood traveling across the globe.
The author's writing is melancholic in origin, using experiences and memories to recreate situations and emotions of the past to tug at heartstrings, as shown in his work.
Today, Caelan has high aspirations to study at Harvard University and graduate with a degree in Law.

PREFACE

Divided into three sections, Existence is a dream-like collection of poems whose words express the feelings of love and sadness we all experience at some point in our lives. The author has written a down-to-earth, accessible collection that speaks to many aspects of life and love, with one section focusing on death. Readers will be able to relate to many of the poems and will feel a connection to their words.

These forty-eight powerful poems about love, life, joy, and sadness vary in length, from a few short ones to some that are long. Nevertheless, together, they induce the reader to rethink their conception of love in all its forms.

An inspirational reading experience, Existence captures the essence of hope and passion in every line of its poems.

LUCKY

Between seas, heavens and pandemonium

I am lucky for I have

Stepped on the same land

Dreamt under the same stars

A ceaseless eternity, never-ending history

Of life, death and all in between

I am lucky to breathe the same air

To gaze upon you as

You twirl in shades of red

Strong as a raging fire

You dance and weave

Elegant as the breeze

Your skin shines

Liquid gold sunlight

Reflects upon your perfection

You are divine sent

You are, you are...

Words can not capture your glory

Beautiful, Gorgeous, Attractive

These words pale to the vision you are

The way your skin absorbs the light

Commanding my attention

Yet there is no need

I never seem to look away

The way your hair blends into the night

A river of stars, a curling mess of galaxies

I lowered my gaze, to meet yours

Unyielding, glowing with silver

It seems your father captured the stars

To put them in your eyes

I would give my heart, I gave you my heart

For a love this true must be priceless

I truly am lucky

Out of the many you could have chosen

Smart, strong, talented, brave

You chose me, and I wish I could do more

For you deserve someone else

Someone loyal, someone better than me

I was lucky

And now, you’re gone

And I am empty

At least you're no longer a prisoner to my lies

LOVE LETTER TO THE WORLD

崩れてゆく前に

Before it all crumbles

‎أنامعك, أنامعك

I’m with you, I’m with you

Bevor wir verblassen

Before we fade

Je t'aime, I love you

Když světlo dohoří

When the light burns out

Og verden bliver kold

And the earth turns cold

Huudan nimesi, Huudan nimesi

I’ll call out your name, I’ll call out your name

Kui küünlavalgus vilgub

As the candlelight flickers

Χορεύω στο αεράκι

I dance in the breeze

Várva meleg ölelésedet

Awaiting your warm embrace

당신의 향기가 나를 압도합니다

Your scent overwhelms me

det dufter av kanel i luften
