Chapter 1, Getting Started with QlikView, takes us through the architecture of QlikView, its selection methodology, and a quick overview for understanding course coverage and objectives. Finally, we'll see how we can create a new app or document in QlikView.
Chapter 2, Getting Data in QlikView and Creating Your First App, shows us that bringing data into the QlikView system is the first step for dashboard development. In this chapter, you'll create an app and filters to get yourself acquainted with QlikView selection terminologies.
Chapter 3, Creating Data Models, teaches us about data modeling and why it is important for fast and scalable dashboards. In this chapter, you'll create a data model by joining data and then review it in the frontend.
Chapter 4, Components in QlikView, takes us through various QlikView components and their configurations. Some of these components are essential when it comes to using an interactive and user-friendly dashboard.
Chapter 5, Building a Dashboard, shows us how to build a dashboard by adding multiple KPIs and charts. This chapter helps you to understand how you can create dynamic dashboards as well.
Chapter 6, Set Analysis, shows us that set analysis is a powerful way to achieve business metrics. In this chapter, we'll see how we can apply it in QlikView expressions.
Chapter 7, Adding Security, shows you how to secure your data based on the various audience types. Here, you'll learn how you can reduce the data for a particular user based on their credentials.
Some prior knowledge of SQL is preferred when it comes to reading this book. A keen interest in data analytics is also beneficial.
