Amazon Music Unlimited offers 40 million songs in its library that may be listened to at any time. If you’ve decided to make a change, we’ve got good news: cancelling your membership is simple. Here’s how to do that, as well as how to cancel your Amazon Music subscription.
Even if you prefer a competitor like Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, or Apple Music, or if you just want to save money, follow the procedures below.
Amazon Music (previously Amazon MP3) is an online music streaming platform and music shop run by Amazon. It became into beta on September 25, 2007, and in January 2008, it became the first music shop to offer music without Digital Rights Management from the four major companies ( Warner, Sony BMG, EMI, and Universal).
Originally, all music was offered in MP3 format with 256 kilobits per second and a configurable bit rate, with no watermark or DRM per client. Certain recordings, however, now feature watermarks. Licensing agreements with record labels limit the countries in which music may be sold.
The Amazon Music Streaming Music Library is accessible through the Amazon.com web player with HTML DRM extensions or via player applications for a variety of platforms including macOS, iOS, Windows, Android, FireOS, Alexa devices, and certain smart vehicles and TVs.
Amazon’s music collection may be purchased by searching for an artist’s name or title on the Amazon.com website, or via a shop that interfaces with many, but not all, player applications. To download bought music, Amazon provides the Amazon Music Player (on Windows 7 or above and Mac OS X 10.9 and higher) or an MP3 zip file downloaded via the Amazon Web Player.
