Do you have buyer’s remorse? Here is how you may cancel an Amazon order before it ships.
It would be best if you acted quickly, as you can only cancel an item before it is delivered; otherwise, you must wait for it to arrive and then make a return. Yet, as our article illustrates, if you cancel your order in time, it should be a simple process.
You may even cancel specific products while allowing the rest of your transaction to go through if you’ve purchased many items simultaneously. Moreover, you should get your money from most merchants, including Amazon, within a few days.
However, it is important to note that the process will differ amongst third-party merchants. Some vendors will take extra time to process your cancellation request before accepting it, while others do not accept cancellations at all. When purchasing from a third party, the best approach is to either check their cancellation and return policies or be sure that you want the item in the first place.
To cancel an Amazon order, follow these steps: On Amazon’s website 1. Click “Returns & Orders” in the Amazon website’s top-right corner when signing in on your PC or Mac.
2. Select the order and click the “Cancel products” button to the right of it.
3. Check that the things you choose to cancel are marked with a blue checkmark; in a multi-item order, uncheck the ones you want to keep.
You can choose a cancellation reason from the drop-down box, but in any case, click on “Cancel selected items in this order.”
4. If you buy from Amazon directly, you should get a confirmation of the order or products being cancelled.
It may take some time to obtain confirmation if you purchased from a third-party vendor, so keep visiting the Returns & Orders page. You’ll also receive a confirmation email.
