Life is colorful and so it presents us all with different challenges. We experience the greatest change in our lives when we lose a loved one. Day and night, light and shadow, life and death ... All of these are inextricably linked. When the world stands still for a while and everything feels as if it has passed through absorbent cotton, we are at a loss as to what is happening. A very special time for children ... Konrad is the encourager in dark times, giving children comfort in little stories and motivating them to carry on. He invites children to smile, encourages them to remember and, for a brief moment, steers their thoughts in a different direction. A children's book that takes a variety of approaches to dealing with grief.

Forword
My father died suddenly nine days after my birthday in November 2020. My world stood still and at the same time everything was turning. I functioned and did everything that needed to be done. The only thing I didn't give room for was grief. Two years later, a health-related break brought me to my knees. This was followed by 13 months in which I had to realize that I had lost myself, taken the wrong paths and closed my heart. Every single story contains a part of my own life story and also a part of my father. I still miss him very much, but today I think back to our time together with a smile. The two of us had a very special relationship that I treasure and keep close to my heart.
I dedicate this book to my beloved Heinrich, my Father, my hero.

Have you ever heard of
Heard of drawer dragons?
Hello!
Welcome to my little dragon world.
I'm glad you're here.
My name is Konrad. Sounds unusual? Nope. It comes from Old High German and means brave counselor. Of course, these are qualities that a dragon absolutely must have. After all, dragons stand for bravery and strength and at the same time I'm a very good advisor. I always come up with some kind of solution.
I love finding out the meaning of names, it's a hobby of mine. By the way, my favorite number is eight. When I have a lot of space to fly, I prefer to fly "eights". These are great arcs and circles. I really enjoy it and I can really spread my green dragon wings. The figure eight has another really great meaning. It stands for infinity and we dragons also live indefinitely. The eight also stands for the fact that it goes on and on. It has no beginning and no end. So there is always a way - no matter what situation you find yourself in.
You probably think that dragons always breathe fire. That's not the case with me. It would be very, very dangerous to breathe fire in a drawer. We drawer dragons have a very special gift, but more on that later. Just this much - it's going to be looooong and colorful, it's going to make ploppedi-blubbedi-rums and it won't work without my purple dragon horns. Dragons have been around for a loooong time, but drawer dragons were only discovered a loooong time ago. That's probably why you've never heard of me.
We are so special because we are chocolate brown and because we have green wings and because we have purple dragon horns and because we have a total of six fingers and six toes and
