When Li helps the inquisitive Moonian Astro, he has no idea that their paths will soon become more closely entwined than chance would suggest. Amidst ancient legends, a hidden manuscript and mysterious emotions, Li discovers new sides of himself – and a world that raises more questions than it answers. But the deeper he digs, the clearer it becomes: the true enemy isn't always the one you can see. A quiet departure – towards the place where courage and truth meet.

EPISODE 16LI AND ASTRO

Li and Storm, who both didn't feel like sleeping with the others in the guest house, had gotten carried away and spent the night with Kayun in his room. When Ares spread his first rays over Nari in the early morning, Li's faithful eagle Cry was already ready to bring him breakfast. But the first attempt failed miserably. Cry had thrown a fish through the window, but Storm, faster and more determined, snatched the prey mid-flight.

The eagle let out an indignant cry and threw again, this time more carefully. On the second attempt, he managed to place the fish directly on Lis's bedspread.

Li woke up yawning, saw Cry sitting proudly in front of the window, and said, ‘Thank you, Cry. You really are a lifesaver.’ As he enjoyed eating the fish, he noticed that his hands already felt much better. The hard work of the last few days had taken its toll on his skin, but the rest and Kim's foul-smelling magic ointment seemed to have worked wonders. Kayun was still fast asleep when Li got up, packed his things and went to the guest house where Astro would be sleeping.

Storm followed him briefly, but then turned off somewhere else, pursuing his own secret mission.

Li looked out of the window and had to laugh. The Mondians were stretched out on a fur rug, his arms and legs spread out in all directions, as if someone had hung him up to dry. ‘How can anyone sleep like that?’ he muttered, shaking his head.

Li decided to go to Ise alone before the joint mission with Astro to fetch the chairs for Mei. But first he wanted to let Kayun know.

Storm was already waiting outside Kayun's room, having apparently returned. The wolf sat there with rapt attention, as if he had important news to deliver. ‘Hey, Storm!’ Li said with a grin. ‘Can you let Kayun know? Tell him to tell Astro that I'll be back around noon. And tell him to wait by the old statue. You know, at the crossroads.’

Storm raised his head, and for a moment it actually looked as if he had understood every word. But then he suddenly sneezed so violently that Li was just able to step back in time.

‘You're scaring me! Cheers!’ Li shook his head and laughed. ‘I'd better talk to Kayun myself.’

Li cautiously opened the door to Kayun's room. The boy lay curled up like a kitten, his face peaceful in sleep. Li hesitated, but finally woke him by grabbing him by the shoulder and shaking him.

‘Kayun, I'm going to Ise to fetch the furniture. Tell Astro that I'll meet him at the old statue. You know where it is – between Nari and Ise.’ Kayun rubbed his eyes, muttered something incomprehensible, then nodded sluggishly.

Li fervently hoped that the sleepy boy would remember the message.

On the way to Ise, Li couldn't help but smile. ‘Will Kayun really pass this on?’ he wondered. ‘Hopefully Astro isn't waiting in the wrong place.’ Storm trotted along behind them for a while before heading back home.

Li straightened her shoulders, breathed in the fresh air and continued walking purposefully.

When Li arrived in Ise, Kim welcomed him with open arms. ‘Li! There you are at last! Sit down right away, you're going to have a proper breakfast!’ she exclaimed in her energetic voice that brooked no contradiction. Before Li could reply, she had already pushed him into an armchair and placed a plate of freshly fried bacon, fragrant bread and steaming tea in front of him.

‘I really don't understand how you can eat fish in the morning,’ Kim began, shaking her head dramatically. ‘It would make me feel sick all day. But I have to admit, it makes your hair look really shiny!’

Before he could react, she ruffled his hair with a grin: ‘There you go, little one! Now eat up! You can work later!’ Li protested: ‘Miss Kim... I have to leave soon because I promised Mondians I'd take them to Mato.’

‘That's very kind of you. Hm. I spoke to some Mondians at the festival. They are decent people. I think it's wonderful that you're helping the boy with his business. Whatever it may be...’

Kim looked directly at Li, and Li sensed that she was curious—in a nice way. ‘Well... um...’ Li chewed his breakfast and took his time, while Kim hoped for more.

Li looked around and munched on his bacon sandwich with a grin. ‘I understand, young man,’ Kim said resignedly and continued, "They have a machine or a robot for everything. I'm grateful that they helped us, really. But do you know what it's like on the moon? Robot 1, bring me a glass of water, Robot 2, clean my room. I wonder if they even know how to walk anymore!" Kim furrowed her brow and shook her head as she gestured energetically.

Meanwhile, Master Tian stood behind her and smiled. He leaned over to Li and whispered, ‘Tian, fetch me the broom, I want to sweep the yard... Tian, bring me some loppers, I want to prune the trees...’

Li couldn't help but burst out laughing. Kim stopped in her tracks and turned around questioningly. ‘Are you laughing at me? Is there something on my apron?’ She glanced over her shoulder and tried to wipe the fabric clean. ‘You have to tell me if I've spilled something on myself! I don't want to look like a fool.’ ‘No need to worry, Miss Kim,’ Li said with a serious expression, although his eyes were twinkling.

‘We just talked about what it's like to be constantly bossed around.’

Kim raised an eyebrow sceptically. ‘Well, Li, I hope you don't have to carry that Mondians in the end. They just sit up there and let everyone else do everything for them!’

When Li had finished eating and was about to get up, Kim said, ‘Wait, Li! I have something else for you. You'll need it when you're travelling for so long!’ She hurried out of the room and came back with the small tube that Li already knew. Li protested, ‘If I carry that in my bag... I'll never get rid of the smell...’

Kim waved her hand dismissively. ‘Oh, come on, a little herbal scent never hurt anyone! I'm sure the young man will get sore feet. When that happens, he should rub it on.’ Li swallowed: "I got the same remedy for my hands. You put smelly foot cream on my hands?‘ Kim protested, ’It's not “foot cream”, it's a healing ointment."

So what? Did it help? Li rolled his eyes and smiled. Then he sheepishly took the tube and put it in his pocket. ‘Yes, it helped. I'll give it to him when he needs it. Thank you, Miss Kim.’
