Love, Pain and Her

 Love, Pain and Her

HER

To love her is effortless

She embraces the little, hidden and the unspoken

Putting you at a danger of being reckless by letting your love tap run wild

But she bathes in it excited like a child who just found a hose

And without hesitation, you just let it flow

That's what she does to you

MY HEART

Let me out! It cried I'm sorry! it murmured

I stand by the door of the dungeon trembling as i held on to the keys

The last time I let it run wild all I felt was pain and melancholy

I tucked the keys in my garment and walked away

I heard it screaming, give me one more chance I walked back

and peeped through the window and saw it panting with bandages still wrapped around it,

And with so much discomfort I held the key towards the door and pleaded,

Give me hope that you won't break again,

Give me certainty that I won't lose you,

Assure me that it'll be worth it this time,

I waited for a response

And with deep regret I sighed, please,

Remain in silence
