The prayer that all men should pray:
“O God, I have considered my surroundings, the stars, the planets—their orbits, the earth—its seasons, ecological cycles, life and its conception, science; it is not chaotic enough to be random, You Exist. I am small and have no resources to find You—but You have all the resources to make Yourself known to me. Please make Yourself known to me. Until led otherwise I will continue in the faith of my parents believing that You are their God. Amen.”
Men are responsible before God to find Him, all men know He exists, [ROM 1:20 -- for from [the] world's creation the invisible things of him are perceived, being apprehended by the mind through the things that are made, both his eternal power and divinity, -- so as to render them inexcusable.].
The foregoing prayer also delivers all religious men from what is false, and puts the responsibility, of revelation to them as individuals, upon God. And God will deliver, He always does. (The philosophy of successful management, ‘take your problem and make it someone else’s problem’. So here and at all other times in life trust God, take your difficulty and make it His responsibility.)
A second prayer should be, “Please make me to know the reading material that most accurately reflects You”.

God speaks and He has created within us the ability to hear Him speak. Sin, the state into which we have fallen, has not restructured what God established. Hence all original abilities remain but some perhaps lie dormant through lack of knowledge of their existence and potential. God has not given up on His original purpose or mankind, us, individuals to whom He has given natural life; and in the absolute sense God has not been affected by Sin. All Divine Persons, as individuals, have been affected by Sin. The Bible has all the answers and is all instructive; we just need to give it the due consideration. Divine communication comes in many forms, but can be grouped into what is external to us and what is internal.
Externally there is reading the written word, hearing with the ear the spoken word, seeing with the eye what is visible, and perceiving the invisible from the visible [ROM 1:20 -- for from [the] world's creation the invisible things of him are perceived, being apprehended by the mind through the things that are made, both his eternal power and divinity, --]. The spirit of life that God gave each one of us acknowledges these external Divine communications.
Internally; two scriptures that help with the understanding of Divine communication in respect of what constitutes internal are; [1KINGS 19:9 …And behold, the word of Jehovah [came] to him, and he said to him, What doest thou here, Elijah?] and [1KINGS 19:12-13 …, a soft gentle voice. And it came to pass, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice [came] to him and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?]. In both of the foregoing God is speaking and we hear but not with the ear. The former (v9) is what we experience as thoughts entering into our conscious mind. The latter is distinctively hearing words uttered as in speech; this is the service of the Holy Spirit to us, and enables us to converse with God and His Christ. Faith will enable this, if we deny the truth of this He will deny us the blessing of having a part in this now [2TIM 2:12 …; if we deny, *he* also will deny us;].
In respect of thoughts, we also have our own. Scripture portrays our thoughts as emanating from our hearts [GEN 8:21 … for the thought of Man's heart is evil from his youth;] and [MT 9:3-4 And behold, certain of the scribes said to themselves, This [man] blasphemes. And Jesus, seeing their thoughts, said, Why do *ye* think evil things in your hearts?]. In addition to our own thoughts, the wicked one can also influence our thinking [LK 8:12 But those by the wayside are those who hear; then comes the devil and takes away the word from their heart that they may not believe and be saved.] and [JN 13:2 And during supper, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote, that he should deliver him up,].
An unjudged sin stops us from hearing God’s voice. Consequently to maintain constant communion requires, in us, a spirit of continual self-judgement. This is not a spirit of condemnation and a preoccupation with our failing selves. God’s work in His Christ has completely delivered us from being concerned or occupied with ourselves. Forget what we are, we are gone forever. The sin-offering and the burnt-offering have done that for us, we are completely free. We judge ourselves in order to continually enjoy Divine communion and access to what belongs to eternal life. Ask God to forgive you all outstanding sins and offences, those known to you and those unknown; this would include sins of ignorance, inadvertence and omission (this is immediate and enables immediate communion). And ask God for deliverance from, and knowledge of, these known and unknown sins, and sins of ignorance, inadvertence and omission (this is in anticipation of continuing communion without interruption or hindrance). If at any time God is silent it is because something within oneself is hindering His answering. However, God will acknowledge His being silent if asked; if one puts it to Him that he is being silent God will acknowledge (God always answers faith [2TIM 2:13 if we are unfaithful, *he* abides faithful, for he cannot deny himself.]).

God’s disposition towards us is one of desiring to pour out blessings upon us, continuously.
In order to appreciate the foregoing statement the scriptural context of the word ‘desire’ must first be understood. (Note; the Bible is its own dictionary). All and any ‘desires’ that one might have can only be fulfilled by the actions of a separate, independent third party (e.g. in respect of ourselves, the fulfilment of the desire is beyond our resources and we are dependent upon another). God desires to bless us, but for Him to be able to do so requires something being fulfilled upon our part (something involving our responsibility as regards God). Hence, [PROV 10:24 …; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.]. Whatever we desire in our hearts God will grant providing we are righteous.
Similarly in respect of prayer being heard, [PROV 15:29 …; but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.]. Responsibility on our part is required in relation to successful prayer, [JN 9:31 [But] we know that God does not hear sinners; but if any one be God-fearing and do his will, him he hears.
