Hi, it’s me, Liz. Did you know my Mom is awesome? Well, she is!  She is smart and funny, strong and patient, kind and beautiful — she’s amazing.

ਹੈਲੋ, ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ, ਲਿਜ਼ਾ। ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ? ਖ਼ੈਰ, ਉਹ ਹੈ! ਉਹ ਚੁਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਾਕੀਆ, ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਣਸ਼ੀਲ, ਦਿਆਲੂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ - ਉਹ  ਵਧੀਆ ਹੈ।

“Good morning, sunshine! It’s time to rise!” I hear a soft whisper in my ear.

"ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸਵੇਰ, ਸੂਰਜ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ! ਇਹ ਉੱਠਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ!" ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਲਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ।

That’s my mom, waking me up.

ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

She gives me a million gentle kisses and hugs me tight, but I still cannot open my sleepy eyes.
