Sean Burn's plays (www.gobscure.info) have been staged by a number of companies across Europe and in the UK. His thirty short films have received screenings worldwide, as well as at Tate Modern and National Film Theatre Studios, London. The latest - Widescream - was joint winner of 2010's Old Vic short monologue competition. His latest solo show - Bastilles England - taking poet John Clare's asylum break out and five day walk to freedom in 1841 has toured internationally.
He was shortlisted for a Dadafest Disability Arts Award 2009 for next swan down the river might be black and this play was also shortlisted for the BBC's Alfred Bradley Bursary Award 2011. It toured the UK nationally in 2012.

Helen Embleton trained at Birmingham School of Acting. Theatre credits include: Oh What A Lovely War (Northern Stage), Sleeping Beauty, The Tempest (Customs House), Stand N Tan (Open Clasp), Cinderella (Durham Gala), Motherland (Live Theatre / Empty Space - Winner of The Stage Best Ensemble), Pub Quiz (New Writing North) and Iron (Live Theatre - Winner of the Spotlight Award Best Actress). Film credits include: Context (Dandy Lion), Perfect Ten (Independent). Radio credits include Concrete Jungle (BBC), Belsay Poem (Picture House Exhibition) and Saturday Matinée (Tyneside Cinema).
Jackie FieldingDirector
Jackie trained at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, having gained a degree in drama from Manchester University. She has directed freelance with a wide variety of companies including Live Theatre, Gala Theatre Durham, Customs House, English Touring Theatre, Quondam Theatre, Cloud Nine, Northumberland Theatre Company, Pocket Theatre Cumbria, South Tyneside College, Prism Arts, Bold As Brass, Croydon Youth Theatre. Jackie has directed Heaven’s Got Talent and God’s Day Off - Durham Mysteries for Gala Theatre Durham, Talking Tom, Nothing Like The Wooden Horse, Son of Samurai, The Revengers, Waiting For Gateaux, Jump You Bastard, Writing Wrong, Cuddy’s Miles, Lucky Numbers, Steel Town, Kelly and The Dream for Customs House Theatre, South Shields. She is closely associated with Cloud Nine Theatre Company having directed some of their more unusual productions including Unreal, The Purple Pullover, Billy Wilson - Big Fish, Ships That Pass and Off The Wall. She has also directed on site specific community projects such as Dreams Of Beasts a community play for Carlisle Cathedral, Tyne Songs for South Tyneside, The Black Hill for Blaydon and Festival of The Coast for NTC. Jackie has production managed for Pocket Theatre Cumbria and for the Customs House including Tom and Catherine, Feb Fest 2006 (three brand new plays) and Sumer 2007 New Writing Festival. She also has extensive experience working in lighting, stage management and sound design alongside her directing.
Simon Henderson
Set design/ construction
Simon studied an HND in Theatre and Media Production at Newcastle College, graduating in 1995. His theatre skills include set design, set construction, prop making and scenic painting. Since graduating he has designed for a number of theatre and other companies in the North East, including Cleveland Theatre Company, Live Wires Live Theatre, Polka Theatre, Theatre Cap-a-pie, Monster productions, Northern Stage, Pilgrim Films, The Sage and most recently Customs House. Simon is also a freelance Production Manager/Stage Manager and has worked and toured extensively all over Britain and abroad including with Live Theatre, Mad Alice Theatre Company, Magnetic Events, Streetwise Opera, Theatre Sans Frontiere and UZ events.
