Poems of Reflection is a book in the poetry collection Pan Poetica which touches on different topics such as reflection, concepts, being, emotions, freedom, beauty, philosophy, life, behavior, existentialism, and phenomenology. These could be topics that matter to most people to some degree and also are subject to debate, as they usually encourage contemplation and reflection. These topics could even matter more when they emerge in poems, as a topic can be displayed very concentrated when in a poetic context. The purpose of the poetry collection is to create reflections by putting words, language and meaning into the world we live and act in, with the phenomena that arises. To obtain this purpose, each poem is followed up by a few questions, which can assist in further interpretation than your current one. The questions can be both philosophical, thought provoking, strange or existential. For some, they may seem challenging to answer, as it might be difficult to grasp the meaning by the question in relation to the poem.

Jørgen Panduro has a Master’s Degree (MBC) Master’s in Business Coaching with specialty in Protreptic, which is an old Greek art of conversation through concepts.
Besides this book, Jørgen Panduro, is also the author of the poetry collection “Pan Poetica” which consist of
“Betydningens Digte” and “Meaningful Poems”.
“Betydningens Digte” is mainly written in Danish, however, there are eleven poems written in English, two in German and one in Swedish. The book, “Meaningful Poems” is written in English.
He is also co-author to the book, “Things I Needed To Say,” with the subtitle “Poetic Conversations”, which he wrote with author Monica Lee from Texas, USA.
Jørgen who lives in Copenhagen, Denmark says: I write poems because they have a special and intense ability to convey concepts in a sometimes aphoristic form that makes the subjects enlightened or invites for further reflection and contemplation.
In the process of writing, I love when I get into the “zone” where the poem and I create a form of inner dialogue in an intersubjective atmosphere, that often leads to a synthesis where neither the poem or I expected it would end – and that is immensely exciting, motivating, and inspiring.

Concepts like values, opinions, attitudes, passions, positions, and emotions will be out for confirmation, interpretation, analysis, evaluation or even transformation.
When that happens, you are on your way into an intersubjective dialogue between yourself and the poems.
This is where you might be able to paint a new picture, see a new perspective, change your perceptions, or at least hang on for further thought activity or even motivate you to write as well.
When reading the poems, it is my hope that at least some of them will inspire reflection and contemplation. They may even create transcendence, but to go that far requires an open mind and curiosity. You may agree or have another interpretation, but that just means that you have been reflecting over the poems.
I have created a model that shows which processes can occur when reading poems in general – it is called “The Processes of Poems” as shown below:
Model: The Processes of Poems ©
The Phenomenological Process occurs when the poem is emerging for you and creates anticipation.
The Intersubjective Process is a reflective process between you and the poem itself. This could mean that you have a mental dialogue with the poem leading to change in perception.
The Transcendental Process is when you and the poem, under influence of the Intersubjective Process, exceeds what is written and creates a synthesis consisting of the mutual thoughts that have emerged – maybe the poem will be taken beyond its own existence.
The Mental Process is the reflective work leading through the former three processes.
The Enlightenment Process is the extended result of the Mental Process.
I hope you will enjoy the book and the poems.
