Chapter 1 – The Mysterious Invitation
Lucas sat in front of his computer, the glow of the screen illuminating his dark room. It was just another ordinary evening: headphones in, fingers quick on the keyboard, eyes fixed on the games that always made him forget about school, homework, and even time.
But that night, something different happened.
In the corner of his screen, a notification flashed red, as if sent directly to him. The message was short, mysterious, and strangely tantalizing: “Enter Robloxia and experience true adventure.”
Lucas frowned.
— Robloxia? But… I’ve never downloaded anything with that name — he muttered to himself.
The mouse cursor trembled under his hand. It was just a click. But the strange feeling in his stomach told him this wasn’t just another game.
He hesitated. He looked around. The room was silent except for the ticking of the clock on the wall. He could even hear his own breathing.
— Oh, come on… it must just be a new mod — he said, trying to convince himself.
Clicked Join Game.
Suddenly, the screen glowed brightly, so bright that Lucas slapped his hand over his eyes. The monitor seemed to suck all the light from the room. The floor vibrated beneath his feet, and he felt as if he were being pulled into the computer.
“What…? No! That’s not possible!” he shouted, trying to hold on to the chair.
But it was too late.
An invisible force engulfed him. He felt his body dissolve into millions of tiny pixels, as if every part of him were being transformed into digital code. The sensation was strange: cold and electric at the same time, like a plunge into ice-cold water mixed with a bolt of lightning piercing his skin.
When the light went out, Lucas opened his eyes with difficulty.
The world around him had changed completely. Gone was the room, the chair, and the computer. He was in a huge square, paved with square blocks, surrounded by colorful, toy-like buildings. Avatars of various shapes and outfits walked around, talking as if they were real people.
Lucas looked at his hands and was startled. They were no longer normal hands, but pixelated blocks. His entire body was now that of a video game character.
—No… it can’t be… I… I joined the game! — he said out loud, feeling his throat dry.
A gentle wind blew, bringing the sound of laughter and conversation. Despite the vibrant, colorful scenery, Lucas felt a chill on the back of his neck. This wasn’t a dream.
Suddenly, a figure approached. It was a tall man, also in avatar form, dressed in a bright blue cloak and holding a staff made of light. His eyes glowed gold, as if he knew more than he should.
“Welcome to Robloxia, traveler,” the figure said in a deep, calm voice. “I am Orion, your guide in this universe.”
Lucas took a step back, startled.
— This… this is crazy! I just clicked enter the game, and now I’m here? How do I get out?
Orion smiled enigmatically.
“Going back isn’t so simple, kid. To leave Robloxia, you’ll need to prove yourself worthy. This world is made of challenges, puzzles, and choices. And only those who master the skills here can find their way back.”
Lucas felt his heart race.
— What if I can’t?
Orion tilted his head.
— Then you will be stuck here… like so many others.
Silence fell over Lucas like a heavy shadow. He looked out at the square filled with players running, jumping, and exploring different worlds. Everything seemed incredible… but also terrifying.
He took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and muttered to himself:
—Okay… if that’s the game, I’ll play. But I swear I’ll find a way to get home.
Orion nodded, as if he already knew the answer.
— So, let your journey begin.
And with a wave of his staff, a luminous portal opened before Lucas.
His first challenge awaited.
