Tell me O Thou Who My Soul Loves
Let her kiss me with the kisses of her mouth
Painted are they, in multi colours like a rainbow
Her love is better than the triple washed pure gold
She serves me with good ointment from her loving smooth hands
Her cheeks are comely with rows of jewels
Her neck with chains of silver and gold
I shall lie all night betwixt her breasts
Her two breasts are like two young twin roses
Which feeds among the lilies until day break and shadows flees
I will not compare her with thousands of girls upon this earth
For she is like no other I have ever met
When I find her whom my soul loves
I will hold her and would not let her go
Until I have brought her into my mother’s house
And into the chamber of her that conceived me
That’s who my soul will love

How beautiful are your feet with shoes
The joints of your thighs are like jewels
The work of the hands of a cunning workman
Your navel is like a round globe
And your belly is like a heap of wheat
Set about with lilies
Your neck is like a tower of ivory
Your eyes like the fish pools
You are my beloved and my desire is towards you
Your left hand should be under my head
Your right hand should embrace me

For the love kept for you is flowing like the river
Join me and we shall dwell forever in love

My Beloved In The Garden
My beloved is gone down in the garden
To the beds of spices
To feed in the garden and gather roses
She feeds among the lilies of roses
My beloved is picking roses but not just any roses
But the roses of love
Oh my beloved she delights in gathering roses for me
The scent of the roses is like that of apples
The tip of her mouth tastes like best wine
Causing the lips of those who are asleep to speak
Her desire is towards me come my beloved
Let us go forth into the garden
Let us lodge in the fields of roses
Thus our love will dwell in this garden forever
