Chapter1

Crossroads

Echo

Dreams that come and go

leave me at a standstill,

wondering what's left for me to know.

In the absence of words,

I find comfort in thoughts,

surrounded by its inimitable force.

As I struggle to get by,

and take everything in,

I let myself get dragged by the circumstance.

In the silence of hearts,

I sit here motionless,

hungry, thirsty, empty.

For what words I couldn't begin to speak,

for what thoughts I couldn't bring myself to reveal,

lies a troubled, weary heart;

trying its best to hold everything up.

Take Flight

Take flight, my dear one

head off towards an uncharted path

carry me off

to a point of no return.

Unaware of where this might lead us

still I continue

unsullied,

unfazed by the indirection.

Under these circumstances

I’ve come to know Thee.

Trusting fully,

refusing to hold back.

Once again, I move

in solitude

grateful to God

to return to a place called “me.”
