An emo kid has been granted the power to control others’ emotions, leading to a wave of mass suicides! When the going gets this weird, who do you call? Certainly not the government, who can’t even get itself to work right! And certainly not one of those lame-ass, tights-clad super-teams who care only about movie deals and action figures these days!
No, you call…Team Weird!
A pirate! A robot! A killer mime! A nympho! A dude with a magic trench coat! A teenage mad scientist! A girl who gets really drunk and whales on people with a baseball bat!
They’ll save the world even if they have to kill kittens to do it!

Going Down (I)
The lights are dim. The jazz is low. The champagne is cold. And Jim and Sally’s ardor is hot and growing hotter by the second as the young couple necks on the sofa in his apartment. The balcony window’s drapes have been opened to reveal the romantically glittering nighttime skyline of downtown Lardopolis.
The young couple share the latest in a long, moist line of increasingly passionate kisses. Her blouse is half unbuttoned. His shirt is a shapeless dark-blue heap on the carpet. This is their third date, and they’re finally ready to take their relationship to the next level.
“Oh, Jim,” Sally gasps into his mouth as she runs her fingers through the thick mat of curly dark-brown hair that covers his brawny chest.
“Oh, Sally,” he breathes lustily in response, his large, manly hands alighting on her ample breasts. He gives the two quivering globes a firm, electrifying squeeze.
“Oh!” She clutches his muscular, denim-sheathed buttocks, which roll and flex sexily at her touch. “Oh!”
His hands move down her squirming torso to unbutton the two remaining unbuttoned buttons of her blouse. They undo the first one, revealing a provocative peep of her smooth, taut belly. They grab the second one, start to undo it, then freeze. Jim draws back from Sally a little, their lips parting with a damp smeck. He looks at her, blinking, the libidinous gleam in his eyes swiftly dying. She looks at him in puzzlement for a moment, then her puzzlement dies as well, along with her own passion.
