Peter works as an executive assistant for Jordan, a highly successful vice president of information technology.  The two have a good working relationship until their department is audited.  Peter had asked for a reschedule of a meeting once, on behalf of Jordan, and the CFO chewed his boss out.

When Peter has to try and fit in a meeting request from audit in the next week and he's clueless as to what he can do.  Jordan's calendar is fully packed with meetings that were sent months in advance.  Peter knows that if he asks to move out the audit meeting outside of the two weeks they requested, that Jordan would most likely be reamed out by the CFO again.

Peter stops by Jordan's office and asks what he should do.  To his surprise, Jordan snaps, angrily asking why he hired Peter if he can't manage a schedule.  Peter soon finds that Jordan is having problems, not necessarily work related.  Jordan opens up, letting Peter know that while he's married to a beautiful blonde woman, it was not due to love but due to pressure from his family.

He's from the Deep South, and he's been in the closet for a long time.  Peter is surprised by the revelation and soon the two start to get closer and closer...

Peter sighed as he stared at his monitor.  He was trying to schedule a meeting for his boss, a vice president of the IT department.  His boss’ schedule was packed, meetings from the break of dawn to the dark of night.  There was no way he was going to fit in another meeting into this week’s already packed lineup.

“Damnit,” he sighed as he leaned back on his chair.

One of his coworkers wandered by and looked over his cubicle wall.  It was Dan, another executive assistant who worked with a different VP.  Peter smiled and waved.

“What’s up?”  Dan inquired.

“Can’t find any time on Jordan’s schedule this week for this audit meeting,” Peter replied.

“Audit?”

“Yeah, they’re always scheduling things last minute.  I think Jordan is tired of them as is, now he has to meet with them this week?  It’s just not going to work,” Peter continued.

“Just tell the auditors that this week won’t work,” Dan suggested.

“Ha, I wish.  These guys are total jerks.  They think they’re the top priority.  I tried pushing back one of their earlier meetings and got an earful,” Peter answered.  “And not just from the Finance VP, but from Jordan too!  Jaina went and called up Jordan, telling him that Finance takes audit seriously so IT has to too.”

Dan rolled his eyes and tapped on the cubicle wall.  “God, I remember the last time they auditing Robert’s group.  He was fuming and he took everything out on me.  Guess that comes with being an assistant,” he said.

“Well, Jordan is such a nice guy otherwise.  It was only because Jaina went and shouted his ear off.  Now I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, there’s literally no meeting I can move,” Peter complained.

“You know what that means, right?  Time to go chat with Jordan,” Dan replied.

“Yeah, I guess, but I don’t even know when I’ll be able to stop by.  He doesn’t even have a lunch break.”

“I think I saw his office open when I walked by.  Maybe one of his meetings ended early?”  Dan informed.

Peter’s eyes widened and he hopped up to look over his wall and at Jordan’s office.  The door was clearly closed.  “Nope, looks like the door is closed now,” he sighed.

“Ping him, that’s what I would do.”

Peter sighed and opened up Skype and started a chat session with Jordan.  He typed a message asking if Jordan was free now.  The window had a little message on the bottom stating that Jordan was responded.

“Speaking of lunch, did you bring anything to eat today?”  Dan asked.

“Nope, but I’m not that hungry right now.  Maybe in like an hour or two?”

“Hour or two?!  Sorry but I am starving.  You want me to grab you anything?”  Dan offered.

“Uh...”  Peter paused as he glanced at his chat window to see Jordan had responded.  “Oh, I need to go chat with Jordan, looks like he’s open.  Don’t worry about me, I’ll grab something later.”

Dan shrugged, nodded and left as Peter hurried out of his cubicle and lightly jogged over to Jordan’s desk.  He looked through the small glass window with it’s blinds open and saw Jordan.  He saw his boss’ bald head move and nod as the two met eyes.  Peter nodded back and entered the office, closing the door behind him.

“How can I help you Peter?”  Jordan asked, his voice low and booming.

“So... the auditors want another meeting this week,” Peter replied, his voice shaky.

Jordan sighed and leaned back on his chair, his large frame causing the seat to creak.  He was muscular, his button up shirt barely able to contain his broad shoulders, thick arms and wide chest.  His dark, ebony skin glistened in the sunlight that peered through the large glass window, the blinds half open.

It always excited Peter a bit to see boss.  If Jordan were gay, Peter would have pounced on him in the club.  He sighed quietly as he had to remind himself that his big muscular black man was married to a young white blonde woman.  Peter had met her at one of the office parties and was surprised by her looks.

“Oh for...  I thought I already met with them?”  He grunted angrily as he tapped his pen on the desk.

“Unfortunately, yes, you met with them two weeks ago or some sort of kick off meeting,” Peter answered.

“And I’m guessing they can’t reschedule?”

“Well, last time we tried, Jaina...”

Jordan sighed and rolled his eyes.  “God, I remember that.  She really laid into me for that.  Go ahead and put it on my schedule then.”

“So...  That’s why I’m here.  I can’t find any time on your calendar,” Peter said.

“What?  So you want me to look through and organize my calendar now?”  Jordan questioned angrily as he clicked on his mouse.  “Why even hire an assistant then,” he grumbled.

Peter sucked in his lower lip and glanced down at the ground.  He knew Jordan wasn’t specifically mad at him, but his comments were starting to become unacceptable.  He cleared his throat and looked at his boss.

“Jordan, that’s a bit rude,” he started, his voice a bit higher pitched and shaky.

“Excuse me?”  Jordan responded as he stopped clicking and looked up at Peter, meeting him eye to eye.
