Lauren O. Thyme and Sareya Orion have their own soul memories of Lemuria and created this book in partnership with Lemurian Elders. The Lemurian Elders, many of whom may be Ascended Masters, are a loving and gentle group of souls who advise and teach human beings the essential nature of the universe from their perspective in the spirit world.

The Elders describe the harmonious life they experienced in Lemuria as a guidepost for human civilization today. They elaborate on the ease of Universal Laws and Wisdom as they lived it, knowledge as old as humanity. Knowledge has been explored extensively throughout time in myths, legends, archetypes, philosophy, world religions, and mystic thought. Information has issued forth from countless shamans, prophets, mystics, philosophers, poets, psychics, and recently by transpersonal psychologists, scientists, and physicists.

However, the Elders’ intention is to complete our education: to present the entire body of knowledge, kept secret for ages, to prepare for the leap in planetary evolution. To accomplish that, they stimulate deep soul memories by presenting details of their society that encompass the order, logic, and harmony of the universe.

They remind us to allow recognition, knowledge residing in individual souls, to just happen.

The Lemurian Wayis amythopoetic message in the tradition ofW. B. Yeats’ Vision, andbeforethat in the utterances ofthe ancient Bards inspired by the Muses.“Inspired”meansbreathedinto. The poet,therefore,isa relativelypassive receptor or conduit through whom the words are uttered. The Muses are the daughters ofMnesomne, Memory. In this connection the authors ofThe Lemurian Way are listening to the memories ofthose voices whocall themselves the Elders ofLemuria, ofaplace andtime thousands ofyears agonow miraculously awakened.

The Lemurian Way ismythopoeticalsointhetraditionof WilliamBlake, who saidthat “whatcanbe imaginedisreal.”Itisan importantqualityofthe mythopoeticalsothattheconduitsprojecttheirabsolutesenseof theauthenticityoftheexperience.ThenarratorofGenesisII-III,forinstance,establishes his/her authority at the text’s outset. Horner, likewise, conveys the narrator’s senseofomniscienteyewitnessinhisdescriptionoftheTrojanWar.Thetruth of theexperienceishere also,reifiedby theconduits’personalrecollectionsof life in Lemuria elaborated bythe Elders. Inareal sense, they are Lemurians, imbued withthe fervor ofawakenedspirits. In contemporary Jungian terms, they havedipped into the collective unconscious beyond the restricting and censoringinfluenceoftheegoandalmostdreamlike,emerged intoa fullyrendered visionofalostcivilization.Lemuriasharesmanycomponentsofarchetypalrealms:Edenic,itsmembersenjoya harmonioustribal,preliterate existenceof remarkabletranquillityandinnocence. Thenitsdisruptionby representativesoftheintellectand itsambitions,intheform oftheAtlanteans, parallels the seduction ofAdam andEve bythe ego-dominant Adversary.”

Here,too, isthehiddenambiguityof thefelixculpa,thefortunatefall,in which “theperilstowhichthefleshis heir”—ofconsciousnessand experience—areaworthy pricetopayforhumanity’sgrowth.TheLemurianElderssadly realizetheirearlierfailuretoattaintheharmoniousbalancebetweenspiritand bodyand nowchallengeustotakeup thetask.Thusit hasalwaysbeen inthe most treasured memories ofthe race toregain the possibility of“resurrection in the flesh”—a spiritualized existence in the here andnow.

Quitetrue,theLemurianhere andnow,theidyllicmillenniarollingby in aseamless, light-suffused present, ironically comments onourfallen existence. Simple communal tasks, the daily warmth offamiliar faces, the rituals ofgroupsolidarityechoinour dreamsofEdenorinmotion picturefantasies of theSouthSeas. Theirbirthsarepreciouslyspaced;oursprofligatelystrewn. Theirsexissacred;oursmimesimagesofecstasy.YetthetoneoftheLemurian Elders is notscolding orshrill in the manner ofaJeremiah foretelling doom shouldthemessagegounheeded.Theyspeakoutof theirownsadnessata chance lost.Theirsisa lovingconcern forthosenowwhohavetheopportunity toturntothe Light.And finally, their message,as the conduits tell us, is not newbut rather aprofound restatement ofthose spiritual andethical precepts thatresonatetimelesslyintheutterancesofwisdom-Sayerseverywhere.Sagely also,theircallisto theSingleOne,to eachof usasan“I,”whointhefull meeting ofthe “Thou” ofanother, meets also God.

Introduction

Manydecadesago,whenIwasfiveyearsold, IhearddisembodiedVoices.As timewenton, communicationsfromtheseVoicesgrew morefrequentand articulate.AccompanyingtheVoiceswasa sweetness,an unconditionallovethat wastangible.Duringthosedecades,theVoices(ortheGuys,asI came toaffectionatelycallthem)began teachingme. Spirituality101, I supposeyoucouldcalltheselessons. The Guyswere gentlebutresolute,coaxingandencouraging. They weresupportive andnurturingwhen Iwas down,enthusiastic when I madebreakthroughs.Ireceivedmessagesfromthemthatweredetailedand coherent andalways accurate.

ThentheGuysinformedme theywantedme towriteabook onLemuria. Lemuriawasoneofmyfavoritesubjects,andmymostbelovedmemorieswere ofthat time andplace.

However, Irefused, since Iwas workingonanother project at the time. TheGuysdidn’t giveup.WithsynchronisticbrillianceIwasintroducedto SareyaOrionbya mutualfriend,LiahHoltzman.Liahand I had justfinished ourjointbook projectForgiveness Equals Fortune,now inits2ndedition.Sareya and I becameinstantfriendsandwe began sharingour memoriesof Lemuria. SareyawantedtowriteabookonLemuria.I offeredtohelpher todo so.The rest is history. Shemoved in withmeandwe began this project.

Myroleinthewritingof The Lemurian Waywasstoryteller,sometimes thatofscribeandeditor.Sareya’spresence(sinceshehad beenalibrarianin Lemuria)actedasabatteryfor me,to generateinformation,to clarifymy memories, andtoadd herownprecious ones. In time, Ibegantorealize that theGuyswereandareLemurianElders.Suddenlymywholelifecameinto sharp focus, andwithitthe book’s powerful messages.

InLemuria,theElders’jobwasneveroneof powerandcontrol.Their taskwasto holdtheenergy oflove,spiritualwisdom,knowingeverythingwas connectedto everything,andthatallbeingshadtheirplaceintheuniversal schemeof things.Inthatsamevein,theEldersworkedwith usinunison. They weresupportive, communicative, andclear, knowing that wewereall important in this project.Thus this bookis notchanneled butremembered.

AtnotimedidI thinkoftheEldersasbeingincharge, butratheraskindly mentors andguides. WithoutSareya andme,their messages would nothave found a humanvoice.So wewerepartnerswiththeElders.BecausetheElders prefer tohave others’own wisdomguidethemon theiruniquespiritualpaths, theEldersaskedthatnothing inthisbookbedirectiveoradvising.Noexercises toperform.Nolistsofdo’sand don’ts.Rathertheyrequestedustoencourage thereader’sowninnatewisdomto emergewhenreadingthewordsandfeel the intent behind those words. “Keep itsimple,”They toldme.

Iwantedto retaintheElders’unified,loving,gentleVoice,andto that end I endeavoredtowritetheway I feltthem.Severalmessagescamethrough verbatim andIinclude them assuch. Iasked the Elders ifthey wanted toincludeexercisesor to expoundingreaterdetail. Theydeclined,sayingthey wanted the readertosimply “feel the energyofLemuria in themselves.”

TheLemurianWayhas changed Sareya’sand mylifeforever, forthebetter. Thisbook hasactedasan importantpieceofacosmicpuzzleforme, putting manyvague andsometimesdisparatespiritualideasintounderstandable,eloquent,and cohesivesubstance.I am gratefultotheEldersfortheirunwavering patience,love,andcommunication.I’mgratefulto Sareyafor beinganimportant conduitandLibrary toassist in bringing this bodyofknowledge together.And I’mgratefultomyselfaswell,tobe abletohear theElders,aswell asto writeandeditwhatIheardandwhatIrememberedonmyown.We werea team, witheveryoneplaying their most perfect part.

After this bookwas finished, the Elders mergedwithmeandannounced IwasnowanElderintraining.IfeltthejoyfulresponsibilityofanElder—holdingthe energyandcontinuingtolearn andpractice Universal Wisdom, togrowand evolveinan ever-expansivespiralof becoming,toencourage and nurture others on their spiritual paths.

I honor theElders,Sareya,and myself—andI honoryou. I havecometo learnthatweeachplayan importantpartincosmicevolution. You, thereader, are awisdom-bearer.Youare ateam player.We are all on the same team.

I’veoftenbeen askedif my memoriesarereal,if Lemuriawasreal.Whose reality?Fromwhatperspective? ThemoreIlearn,themoreIrealizeIdon’t knowanything, except mybody/mindwisdom asitemerges in eachpresent moment.PerhapstheElderswereonlymyownvoice,myownwisdom.Or maybeItappedinto archetypesof paradiseinthecollectiveconsciousness. Possibly Lemuria is the future. I’ve decided that, in the final analysis, there is no reality withacapital R.

One thing Idoknow,however. Writing this book,then livingandpracticing theLemurian Way,makesmy life,mywork,and myrelationshipswith othersmoreharmonious,blissful,and fun.Forme, that’stheultimatereality.

Chapter One

The Magical Land of Lemuria

We call ourselves Lemurian Elders; we lived in Lemuria as Elders long ago. After the dissolution of our physical bodies and civilization, many of us felt we had made important errors during our time on Earth. Consequently, we made a mutual decision, to return to Earth in the form of spirit guides and teachers, to help others learn and grow from our mistakes. We’ve continued to transmit our messages ceaselessly in service to humankind. There are hundreds of us who’ve assembled to continue our work for this beautiful and struggling planet. Although we have different characteristics, we speak as one voice. Furthermore, we consider all human beings as Lemurians whether or not they lived in Lemuria.

Ourbeloved motherland ofLemuria existed at the dawn ofhuman evolution. Wewereoneof thefirstgroupsto beembodiedinevolvedphysical form,coming toEarth asHomosapiens wereemerging asaspecies. We, and otherswho arrivedelsewhereon theplanetaswell,knewthatEarthwastobe atesting ground, a laboratory forthe universe. We hada physical body,with organs,glands,circulatoryand nervoussystems,and brainslikeyou do today. Ourappearance wasalsouniquelyhuman,walkingupright,with an opposing thumb and fingers. Weprocreatedthenasnow. Wepossessedintelligence,creativity,andabilitiesfully recognizableto you livinginthetwenty-firstcentury.

However,we inLemuriamade certaindecisionsvery earlyinour civilization.WeimmediatelyexperiencedmanydifficultieswhilelivinginEarthbodies andweweredetermined toretain full controlby coupling withthe spirit world.

The spirit world,which wecouldaccessat will, was ablueprint forour civilization.This realm, whereall souls come from,return to, andrelate toas homebase,operatesintotalharmony,mutualsupport,unconditionallove, cooperation, peace,joy, andwisdom.This spirit worldfoundation is used as apoint ofreference,ajumping-off placefor soulstoexploreotherworlds,dimensions, andthe physical universe. Furthermore, souls in the spirit world instinctivelyknowwho theyareand whattheyneedtolearninordertogrow and evolve.Thus,we inLemuriadecidedtoremainfullyattachedtoand conscious ofour spirit selves.

How didwedothat?In thoseearlydays,humanbeingswere underdeveloped,loosely connected to physical matter andthe planet Earth. Therefore, wecouldchoose howwe operated withinthose bodies; unfortunately, many modern human beings nolonger havethat choice. We chose acombination offactors,spiritbodiespredominating,whilephysicalbodiesweresecondary. Wecalledour spiritbodies“lightbodies,”sincetheyconsistedmostlyoflight, vibration,andenergy.Alight body isan immense,vibratingaggregateofshimmeringcolor, ofwhichanaura isa mereremnant,whichsimultaneouslysurroundedusand wasimmersedwithinourhumanflesh.Sinceallmanifestation in the universe consists ofdegrees ofvibration andenergy, wefavoredaccelerated vibrations, higher energyandless density, while connecting ourselves firmlytoCreator Source andGold Light.

CreatorSource isDivineConsciousness,existingofthehighestvibration andenergy thatcontainscreativeforcestoavastdegree.CreatorSource exists before,during, andafter creation andis the source from which all manifestationoriginates.CreatorSource has beencalledGod, Allah,Jehovah,andmany othernames,but thesenamescan’tbeginto describetheall-encompassing realm ofthis loving, vast, unending, intelligent energy andvibration.

All souls, indeed all physical and nonphysical manifestations, are part of CreatorSourceandwilleventuallymergeagainwith CreatorSource.Conscious life forms also participate in co-creation withthe Source. The physical universeisonlyasmallportionof thetotaluniverse,whichismadeupof other dimensions, realms, time andtimelessness, andnon-material manifestations.CreatorSource putintomotion allthelawsof theuniversewhichoperateharmoniouslyandcontinuously.Ifthissoundsconfusing,don’t be alarmed. Evenin the spirit realm, many souls are unable tofullydescribe or comprehend the Source.While in that realm, however,souls canfeel, sense, andperceivetheSource’stremendouspowerandenergyasatangibleforce surrounding,nurturing, and empoweringthem.GoldLight istheemanation of,from,and connectedtoCreatorSource, itselfa creative,regenerativeforce. Like aceaseless river Gold Light flows from the spirit world intothe physical world, transmittingharmonyand otherheavenlyattributes.SinceGold Light containsthevibrationand powerofcreation,itisthestrongestlight oftransformationinthephysicaluniverse.GoldLight,with itsattachmenttoallmanifestation,alsoyieldsawarenessof higherrealms,otheruniversesand dimensions andUniversalWisdom.

White Light,used bywise people onyourplanet forcountless ages,is a differentformoflight,intendedprimarilyforprotectionandhealing.Gold Light,ontheotherhand,ismoreencompassing,expansive,and transforming thanWhite Light.

Becauseof our abilitytostayconnectedwiththespiritworldand Creator Source whileinfusedwith GoldLight, we became distinctfromtherestofthe human experiment in progress onthe planet. Consequently, wecouldtravel tothespiritworld, otherdimensions,galaxies,and realmsatwill,whilestaying attachedto ourphysicalbodies. Throughoutmanymillenniaweonlygrew strongerinourknowledgeandtalents,aswepracticedanddevelopedthem toanexalteddegree.Weweredelightedwithourcapabilitiesandeagerly shared ourvast knowledge withanyone whowanted toknow.However, like you,we never conqueredourfear oflivingfullyin ourbodies. We preferred ourlight bodiestophysicalones.Whenwe donnedour physicality,it waslike donning aheavy,sodden woolen overcoat orstepping intofrigid, deeply-disturbing waters.Wheneverwe immersedourselvesforextendedlengthsoftime intophysical totality, webegantoexperience sickness, unpleasant emotions, andafeelingofseparatenessfromeach other,Gold Light, and Creatorsource. So wemaintainedour vibrationon higherrealms,much likebeingina highly altered state orastral travel most ofthe time.

Infact, the only fear that existed in Lemuria was in becoming too human! We knew what the human conditioncouldlead toandwe avoided that state ofbeing at all costs. This was ourfailing, because the aim ofincarnating on Earthwastobecomefullyhuman,withallthedelightand despairthatmight entail, in order togrow,learn, andevolve, while learning tostay attached to divineconsciousness.Althoughwe triedtoelevatetherestofhumanitytoour level ofaptitude, wefailed that also andeventually ourcivilization beganto crumble.
