Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson received a highly sensitive letter from Turin. The venerable Cardinal Maurilio Fassati personally requested the master detective's help in an extremely delicate matter. The case appeared to be solved, but additional duplicates of the missing shroud quickly emerged. When a dead body was found in the chapel on Good Friday, the entire case took yet another unexpected turn...
