Our story takes place in the XXXIV century. The development of mankind has come a long way till now. The Homo Sapiens species was split into the Homo Malum and Homo Relevans species in the XXXII century. The Homo Malum species still have some features of the Homo Sapiens race. They preserve the invaluable knowledge that has accumulated on Earth over the millennia. The Homo Relevans species have been genetically generated by other codes. Their organization is geared to the natural environment and the quality of their souls is miraculous. The surge of the new species overwhelmed the Homo Malum species, putting a hold on their empowerment. The process is unstoppable.

Dear Reader!

Now we can look into the life of an empire where the species of Homo Relevans race live, who love each other, take care of each other. Understanding and tranquility reign in this place.

Everything has its own time, so it’s not only about work, but also about home, family, entertainment, and giving help. Everyone who lives here is safe and resolved to lead an honest life. Our heroes strongly believe that there is no other scheme; it is only like this on Earth.

But the Evil seems to never die, and the hate through all ages is inexplicably unlimited. Evil is also dark as stepping into the light his actions quickly reveal his identity.

The characters in my book are fictitious persons who create fictional situations in fictitious places, and their actions can in no way be compared to people's actions in other centuries as they are far from reality.

I wish everyone a good time, enjoy this story.

The Author

Introduction

Once upon a time there was a small spot in the middle of the huge planet Earth where many strange figures lived. So, where the map showed a small fleck, there was an unknown country. It was populated by honest people, whose head, instead of hair, was covered by something that resembled spikes, with a round end. That is why the Empire was named the Spiny Empire, and its inhabitants individuals.



Individuals liked nature. Of course they liked it, since the Sun's radiant rays embraced the fabulous land in daytime, while at night the Moon and the stars gave so much light, which made their lives cheerful and happy.

The children only knew the darkness from textbooks, and the teachers mentioned it as the shadow of deceased civilizations.

In fact, there was a place on Earth where the sun never shined, and the moon didn't light.  Here lived the Evils, the forces of Darkness, the "glorious" representatives of the Homo Malum race. They were bitter people, who had not come to peace with the world and their human nature. They lived separated from the world. Their leader, the Lord of Darkness, was a sorcerer who, abusing his natural power, used his talents to rescue the Evil Ones. The Dark Lord had an ally, his own female twin, who was so ugly that her head had been veiled since birth so nobody could see her face.

Later, she was clothed in masculine clothes to move about freely in society. Soon she was growing hair all over her body, so no one knew she was actually a woman.

These Evils were constantly making sinister plans to help them capture the Light.

The only thing on their minds was how to cause great destruction on Earth. They were preoccupied by a single thought, and that was the salvation of their race. As their wives abandoned them because of their wickedness, they were forced to devise a new reproductive method that had become the most advanced form of cloning.

The preliminary experiments were successful, since as a result of their work, soon they all had quite a few duplicates and these clones had the same properties. But just as fast as they were born they died.

One of the errors in advanced cloning was the sudden decay of the grey matter, whose elimination they were constantly working on. The other defect was the early start of the aging program, which led to the end of the clones’ lives in only a few years.

Their plan was to eliminate a vast number of creatures unnoticed, and to replace them with their clones.

With their analyzing and synthesizing programs the Evil carried out the superficial copying and insertion of the body at the level of the hereditary material, but the soul itself couldn't be created. That is why they created a soulless, controllable clone which could be made to blindly execute any dark task.

Therefore, they were constantly looking for new subjects with a true, pure soul for their experiments.

But there was a mistake in their calculations because they didn’t have the means to read the codes of the soul! On the one hand because it seemed elusive, on the other hand, because they didn't know that no one ever had access to this secret. This secret can't be tracked down, it can't be programmed, because it is part of an extraterrestrial, comprehensive organizing principle that is inconceivable to an earthly mind. Their scientists didn't believe it, so they continued to seek true spirits for their experiments.

Real soul lives where love prevails. So the choice for them was one of the world's most advanced realms, the Spiny Empire.

Chapter 1

Those regular tasks…

The form of government in the Spiny Empire was monarchy. Queen Marianna and King Marian governed the people happily. In the palace there were hundreds of bustling servants, hanging on every word the rulers said. A little sigh or an odd look was enough, someone was there right away to be at the disposal of the royal highnesses.
