Kinsfolk

I realized,

I am lucky.

For they are my kinsfolk.

This word—parents—has a lot of meanings.

Those who,

were there for you when you fell from your bike.

Those who,

were there when you made your first steps.

When you spoke for the first time,

they were there.

They are always there,

if not alongside you,

then in your heart.

It's important to not forget about them,

to show them the same love they give us.

Surely,

we say the things we say when we are feeling upset,

but in the end,

we always regret it.

They will always be there with you,

in dark times and in light times.

Friends are noteworthy.

You know why?

Because they are one of a kind.

There will never be anyone else who can replace them.

They are the best thing that will ever come in life.

What would we be without the company of our friends?

I am fearful.

Frightened for thinking I might lose a friendship,

for it has happened before.
