Winged Pact – Angelic Magic and the Celestial Hierarchies While religions diverge on who or what God is — One, Being, Energy, or Consciousness — there is a near-universal presence across almost all spiritual traditions: the Angels. They transcend creeds, cultures, and eras as divine messengers, living bridges between heaven and earth. Winged Pact is not a work of theoretical speculation, but a practical and disciplined guide that teaches how to consciously establish contact with the Angelic Hierarchies. Based on the traditions of Angelic Magic and anchored in the legacy of the Arbatel, the book leads the reader through the ethical and ritual mastery of invoking these celestial beings. Here, the practitioner not only learns to summon angels — they become a cooperator of the cosmic order, merging practice, virtue, and service to the Light. A true calling for those ready to enter the pact. This book on Angelic Magic presents a practical and ethical path to communion with the celestial messengers. With clear guidance on setting up the mystical altar and performing spiritual consecration practices, the reader deepens their understanding of the celestial hierarchies and the Olympic Spirits. The book on Angelic Invocations teaches safe and respectful structures for communication with angels, while the book on Divine Names reveals the vibrational keys to spiritual contact. With its focus on spiritual virtues, the book on Esoteric Practices and Christian Theurgy offe

Epilogue
The history of religions has always been marked by disagreements. Not even the idea of God is unanimous. For some, God is the One, the indivisible absolute. For others, He is a conscious, paternal, and close Being. There are those who understand Him as pure energy, as the sum of all that exists, or as an impersonal principle that governs the laws of the universe. Definitions vary, creeds multiply, doctrines clash.
But amidst so many interpretations and theological disputes, there is a silent truth that traverses cultures, eras, and creeds: angels. Whether in Judeo-Christian traditions, Islam, Renaissance esotericism, the mystical schools of the East, or even in popular beliefs, the presence of angels is a constant. They are the common point, the universal spiritual denominator that unites diverse beliefs. While the concept of God sparks philosophical debates, angels emerge as recognized, accepted, and, above all, accessible entities.
They are the messengers, the intermediaries, the executors of the higher will. They do not demand dogma; they respond to the call of a sincere soul. This book, now resting in your hands, is not a compendium of theories, nor an academic treatise on angelology. It is, rather, a practical map, an initiatory guide that reveals how to establish a conscious pact with the Angelic Hierarchies.
And herein lies its true distinction: we are not dealing with abstract mysticism or ethereal fantasies. This is a disciplined spiritual science, deeply rooted in ancestral traditions like the Arbatel of Magic of the Ancients, but updated and organized didactically for the modern practitioner. Unlike superstitious magic, this work presents Angelic Magic as an art of cooperation with the Divine. The practitioner does not seek to subjugate forces or manipulate the invisible to satisfy personal whims. They position themselves as a collaborator in the cosmic order, a servant of the Light.
This is the first major psychological trigger the book activates: the feeling of belonging to something greater. The reader is no longer a spectator; they are invited to participate in the work of Creation, as a conscious link between heaven and earth.
Another vital point—and here lies the second trigger—is access to hidden knowledge. Since ancient times, esoteric wisdom has been reserved for a few. Today, with this book, the veil is lifted ethically and judiciously. Here you will find, progressively and safely, the foundations for working with angelic hierarchies, understanding the spheres of Light, structuring your own altar, developing your Personal Celestial Map, and invoking, with due preparation, the higher intelligences.
But be warned: this is not a reading for the curious. Angelic Magic does not tolerate frivolity. Every practice, every prayer, every invocation demands commitment, ethics, and inner purification. The book precisely addresses the virtues that sustain the path—humility, purity, prudence, charity, reverence, and service—pillars that shape not only the magical practice but the very being of the angelic magus. Without this ethical foundation, there is no legitimate access to power.
In a time when so many seek instant spiritual shortcuts, "Winged Pact" offers something rare: depth. It rescues the true meaning of initiation: not the rapid attainment of external results, but the slow and solid construction of a Living Temple, where the Divine can dwell. This is the third and decisive trigger: personal transformation. The reader perceives, even in the first pages, that the pact here is not only with angels but with oneself and with one's own spiritual evolution.
In a world saturated with noise, anxiety, and superficiality, this book becomes an oasis of order, silence, and real communion with the sacred. It does not promise easy miracles, but it offers the keys to serious, elevated, and profoundly fulfilling work.
If you feel, however vaguely, the call of the higher spheres; if you intuit that there are benevolent intelligences ready to guide you on your journey; if you seek a safe path to establish this connection legitimately, reverently, and effectively—then this book is your portal.
Here begins your pact. Not with men, not with ideologies. But with heaven itself.
The Editor
The journey towards Angelic Magic often begins with a distant echo, a resonance in the soul yearning for something transcendent. At the heart of this quest, we find ancestral texts and wisdom that serve as beacons, and among them, the Arbatel of Magic of the Ancients holds a place of singular respect and mystery. Emerging during a period of intellectual and spiritual effervescence in the Renaissance, the Arbatel distinguishes itself not as a mere compendium of spells or obscure invocations, but as a philosophical and practical guide to a form of magic intrinsically linked to the divine. Its mystical origin is whispered in the corridors of esoteric traditions, pointing to a wisdom that transcends a single authorship or era, as if it were a fragment of primordial knowledge, rediscovered and shared to inspire a deeper communion with the celestial spheres.
This fundamental text introduces Angelic Magic not as an act of arbitrary power, but as a sacred science, a disciplined and reverent method of communication with the celestial hierarchies, the messengers and intelligences that populate the subtle realms of creation. It is an art that invites contemplation, study, and, above all, an inner transformation, for dialogue with the sacred presupposes a heart prepared to receive it.
On this luminous path, the practitioner's stance is of fundamental importance, defining the very nature of the magical work to be undertaken. Far from being a dominator of occult forces or a manipulator of others' wills, the aspirant to Angelic Magic positions themselves as a cooperator with the Divine. This distinction is crucial. The magic sought here is not a tool for ego exaltation or for the satisfaction of inconsequential worldly desires, but a path of service and alignment with a greater purpose. The true angelic magus understands that power flows through them, not from them, and that their effectiveness lies in their ability to become a clear channel for celestial influences.
To act as a cooperador implies profound humility, a recognition of the vastness of the cosmos and the unfathomable wisdom that governs it. It also implies a responsibility: to use the acquired knowledge and the established connection for good, for healing, for the elevation of consciousness, both individual and collective. It is an invitation to participate actively in the manifestation of divine order on the terrestrial plane, contributing with one's intentions and actions to universal harmony.
Entry onto this path rarely occurs by chance. It is preceded by an inner call, a subtle summons that can manifest in various ways. For some, it may be a persistent feeling of incompleteness, a search for answers that material reality cannot provide. For others, a series of synchronicities, encounters, and readings that insistently point towards the universe of spirituality and sacred magic. Recognizing the signs of a magical vocation requires keen attention to the movements of one's own soul and to the whispers of the invisible. It might be an inexplicable fascination with angels and celestial hierarchies, vivid dreams of ethereal landscapes or beings of light, a heightened sensitivity to the subtle energies of the environment, or a deep empathy that moves one to seek tools for help and solace. This recognition is an intimate and personal step, an awakening to a deeper dimension of one's own existence.
Once the call is perceived, however timidly, the preparation of the heart begins. This is, perhaps, the most crucial aspect of the entire journey. Purity of intention is the foundation upon which the practice of Angelic Magic is built. It means purifying desires, questioning motivations, and ensuring that the quest is genuinely for the Light, for higher knowledge, and for the opportunity to serve. Humility is the key that opens celestial doors; it allows the practitioner to learn, receive, and recognize the greatness of the Divine in all its manifestations. The sincere will to serve the Light complements this triad, directing the focus of magical work beyond the individual self, embracing an ideal of contribution to a greater good. This preparation is not a one-time event, but a continuous process of self-examination, purification, and dedication.
To assist in this initial stage of recognition and inner consecration, a guided introspection exercise is proposed. This exercise aims to attune consciousness to the highest vibrations and initiate the process of alignment with angelic forces.
Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted. Sit comfortably, with your spine erect but relaxed. Gently close your eyes and breathe deeply a few times, releasing bodily tensions and mental worries with each exhalation. Allow your breathing rhythm to become natural and serene.
Now, visualize above your head a sphere of golden light, bright and pulsating like the midday sun. Feel the warmth and purity of this light. Imagine that, slowly, a ray of this golden light descends from the heavens, touching the crown of your head. Allow this light to gently penetrate your body, first filling your brain, clearing your thoughts, bringing peace and lucidity. Let the light descend through your throat, relaxing it, and continue to your heart, warming it with love and compassion. Feel this golden light filling your entire chest, dissolving any feelings of anguish, fear, or doubt. The light continues to descend, enveloping your abdomen, your hips, your legs, until it reaches the tips of your feet. You are completely immersed in this radiant energy. Now, visualize this same golden light expanding from you, forming a luminous cloak that completely surrounds you. This is your cloak of initial consecration, a symbol of your pure intention to seek divine wisdom and dedicate yourself to the service of the Light.
Remain in this visualization for a few minutes, feeling protected, blessed, and connected with the higher spheres. Feel the loving and tutelary presence of the celestial hierarchies around you. When you feel ready, breathe deeply once more, bringing your awareness back to your physical body and your surroundings. Open your eyes slowly, carrying with you the sensation of peace and the luminosity of this experience. This exercise can be repeated whenever you feel the need to reconnect with your vocation and purify your intentions, serving as a constant reminder of the sacred path you have chosen to tread.
The journey of Angelic Magic, therefore, is not merely an esoteric study, but a slow edification of the soul, where every thought, emotion, and action must be weighed in the light of a higher ethic. As the practitioner advances, they realize that true alchemy lies not only in contact with the celestial spheres but in the transmutation of oneself—from ignorance to discernment, from vanity to humility, from selfish desire to selfless service. Each encounter with angelic intelligences becomes a living lesson, an opportunity for learning and inner growth. The veils of illusion gradually dissipate, revealing a broader reality in which the entire universe vibrates in harmony with the Creator's will.
Delving deeper into this path, the angelic magus discovers that discipline and perseverance are as essential as spiritual fervor. There are no safe shortcuts to the heights; each step requires vigilance and constant purification of one's own intentions. The study of sacred texts, the regular practice of meditations and invocations, as well as the cultivation of virtues such as patience, compassion, and righteousness, form the invisible fabric that sustains progress on the path. Inner silence, achieved through mastery of the lower passions, becomes the space where the voice of angels can be heard with greater clarity, guiding, comforting, and, at times, challenging the disciple to go beyond their limitations.
Thus, the call to Angelic Magic reveals itself as a summons to one's own spiritual realization, where the magus seeks not only the company of angels but participates in the grand symphony of Creation. It is a silent pact between the human soul and the Divine, sustained by purity of purpose and confident surrender. Each practice, each prayer, and each compassionate gesture become fundamental stones of an inner temple, where the sacred can dwell in fullness. And so, the path continues, not as an end, but as a constant unfolding of the soul before the Light.
Delving into Angelic Magic requires, first and foremost, an understanding, however initial, of the cosmic architecture in which this sacred science operates. The universe, vast and multifaceted, is perceived by various spiritual traditions not as a chaotic collection of phenomena, but as an intricate order, a fabric of influences and correspondences that extend from the most subtle to the densest. The Arbatel of Magic of the Ancients, with its peculiar clarity and conciseness, offers a vision of this structure, delineating a hierarchical cosmos where each level of existence possesses its function and dignity.
At the apex of this grandiose manifestation is the One, the Supreme God, uncreated source of all reality, the divine mind that encompasses and transcends all. From this primordial unity emanate the diverse spheres of consciousness and power. Immediately below the conception of the Absolute, the Arbatel situates the Olympic Spirits, governing intelligences that preside over the provinces of the universe, each with its specific attributes and responsibilities in maintaining cosmic order and administering universal laws. These spirits, as we will see in detail later, act as great planetary regents, influencing everything from the vast cycles of nature to the intricacies of human life. Next, and permeating all creation, are the Angelic Choirs, myriads of beings of light who serve as messengers, guardians, and executors of the divine will on multiple planes of existence. This structure, from the One to the Choirs, does not imply rigid separation, but a cascade of emanation, where the light and life of the Creator diffuse and specialize into diverse degrees and functions, forming a cohesive and interconnected whole. Understanding this model is fundamental for the practitioner, as it situates their quest and practices within a larger context, revealing Angelic Magic as a way of consciously interacting with the different levels of this sacred hierarchy.
Angels, within this worldview, play an essential and dynamic role. Far from being mere symbolic or allegorical figures, they are conceived as active intelligences, conscious beings that mediate between the divine plane and the manifested worlds. They are the "messengers" par excellence, transmitting creative impulses, inspiration, warnings, and aid to those who open themselves to their influence. As intermediary intelligences, angels bridge the apparent abyss between the transcendence of the One and the immanence of creation, serving as living bridges that connect heaven and earth. They are, so to speak, the nerves and arteries of the cosmic body, ensuring that divine life circulates and manifests in every corner of the universe.
Besides their communicative role, angels are divine agents in the universal order, each, or each choir, entrusted with specific aspects of the maintenance and evolution of reality. They sustain the laws of nature, inspire the arts and sciences, protect individuals and nations, and guide souls on their journey of return to the Source. Their action is vast and multiform, adapting to the needs of each situation and each being. For the student of Angelic Magic, recognizing angels as real and active presences is a transformative step, which shifts the practice from a purely mental exercise to a living and responsive dialogue with the sacred. This understanding fosters respect and reverence, attitudes indispensable for fruitful collaboration with these exalted intelligences.
To aid in internalizing this cosmic structure, the contemplation of schematic illustrations that could visually represent these spheres of light would be of great value. Imagine a diagram where, at the highest point, a circle of dazzling light symbolizes the One, the source of all. From this center, rays or waves would emanate, expanding downwards, forming concentric spheres or distinct levels. The first great sphere below the One could represent the domain of the Olympic Spirits, perhaps with symbols or seals identifying them individually, arranged to indicate their interconnection and subordination to the Supreme Will. Below these, multiple layers would represent the various Angelic Choirs, from those closest to the Divine Throne to those whose missions unfold more directly on the planes of form. Lines of connection and flows of light between these spheres would indicate communication and hierarchical interdependence. Such a representation, even if simplified, would help fix in the student's mind the vastness and order of the spiritual universe.
Complementary to this external visualization, an exercise of inner visualization is proposed: the journey through the Celestial Tree. Sit comfortably, breathe deeply, and allow your consciousness to quiet. Visualize yourself at the base of an immense and luminous tree, whose roots delve deep into the fertile earth of material existence, but whose trunk rises majestically towards the heavens. This is your starting point. Begin to ascend mentally through this Celestial Tree. Each sturdy branch you reach, each level of light you traverse, represents an ascending layer of reality, a more subtle sphere of consciousness. Feel the energy of each level, perceive the luminous qualities that characterize it. Leave behind the worries of the everyday world as you climb, feeling lighter and more connected to the essential. Visualize the Angelic Choirs as luminous presences inhabiting these different heights, some dedicated to guardianship, others to wisdom, others to unceasing praise. Continue your ascent, passing through spheres of power and majesty where you would intuit the presence of the great Olympic Spirits, regents of cosmic laws. Your ascent is constant, serene, driven by the longing to know and commune with the Divine. Finally, after traversing countless layers of light and wisdom, you glimpse the summit of the Celestial Tree, which opens to a space of indescribable brilliance, where the presence of the Divine Throne is felt as a peace and power that transcend all understanding. Remain in this state of contemplation for a few moments, absorbing the magnificence and order of the universe. Upon returning, bring with you the clarity and inspiration of this journey.
Intellectual understanding and visionary experiences of the celestial spheres can be enriched and personalized through a creative and introspective practice: the creation of your "Personal Celestial Map." This map is not a rigid diagram to be copied, but an individual expression of your emerging connection with the angelic hierarchies and the structure of the cosmos. To begin, set aside a moment of quiet and reflection. Equipped with paper, colored pencils, paints, or any artistic material that pleases you, allow your intuition to guide you. Start by reflecting on the symbols that, for you, represent the Divine, angels, or the different levels of spiritual consciousness you have begun to explore. These may be traditional symbols, geometric shapes, specific colors, or even images that have appeared in your dreams or meditations. There is no right or wrong; the important thing is that the chosen symbols resonate deeply with your inner experience.
You can structure your map hierarchically, similar to the Celestial Tree or the cosmic diagrams mentioned, or you can opt for a more fluid and organic representation. Assign to each sphere or level the symbols, colors, and perhaps even words or names that seem significant to you. This map may include representations of your personal guardian angel, if you already have some intuition about them, or spaces dedicated to the Olympic Spirits with whom you feel a particular affinity. The objective is to create a visual tool that serves as a focal point for your meditations and practices, a tangible reminder of your journey and your spiritual connections. Over time, as your understanding and experience deepen, you can revisit and add new elements to your Personal Celestial Map, making it a living record of your development in Angelic Magic. This act of creation is, in itself, a form of magic, as it anchors in the material plane the subtle perceptions of the soul.
By embarking on the creation of your Personal Celestial Map, the practitioner also initiates an intimate dialogue with the invisible, allowing impressions from the higher spheres to take shape and color in the physical world. Each stroke, each symbol inscribed on paper, becomes a spiritual anchor, a point of direct connection with suprasensible realities. This artistic exercise transcends simple graphic representation; it awakens a meditative state in which the magus begins to perceive more delicate nuances of angelic presence and the cosmic energies that surround them. The continuous practice of this act of symbolic manifestation strengthens spiritual sensitivity, attuning the inner senses to capture messages and inspirations originating from the higher domains.
As the Celestial Map expands and gains depth, the practitioner begins to glimpse a clearer panorama of their own spiritual trajectory. Connections with certain Angelic Choirs, a natural attraction to specific Olympic Spirits, or the recurrence of particular symbols offer valuable clues about the talents, challenges, and missions peculiar to them in this existence. Thus, the map is not only a tool for contemplation but also a mirror of the evolving soul, revealing the intertwining of their personal history with the grand cosmic design. This knowledge does not feed vanity but deepens the commitment to serving the Light, as it shows the practitioner the fields where their contribution can be most fruitful and aligned with the divine will.
With the advancement of this journey, the construction of the Celestial Map transforms into a living testament to spiritual awakening, accompanying the magus on each new level of consciousness attained. It becomes not just an external symbol, but a materialized extension of inner communion with the celestial hierarchies. And so, the student of Angelic Magic proceeds, always in an upward movement, guided by the ordering light of the cosmos and sustained by the constant presence of the divine messengers who patiently accompany them on their ascent towards the One.
The journey through the Spheres of Light, initiated with the contemplation of cosmic structure and the creation of the Personal Celestial Map, now leads us to a more intimate knowledge of the intelligences that populate these luminous realms. Esoteric tradition, and Angelic Magic in particular, recognizes a vast and ordered celestial population, organized into choirs or hierarchies, each with specific mystical functions and a particular way of interacting with creation and, consequently, with humanity. Understanding these angelic orders allows the practitioner to direct their consciousness and invocations with greater clarity and purpose.
Traditionally, Nine Angelic Choirs are detailed, often grouped into three triads, extending from the vicinity of the Divine Throne to the spheres most directly linked to our world.
The first triad, the highest and closest to the uncreated Source, is composed of the Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones. The Seraphim, described as beings of fire and intense light, are associated with divine love in its purest and most ardent form. Their mystical function is the unceasing contemplation of God's glory and the transmission of the primordial energy of love that sustains all. In human life, their influence can be perceived in moments of spiritual ecstasy, profound universal compassion, or a sudden and overwhelming certainty of divine presence, purifying and transmuting the densest energies. The Cherubim are bearers of divine wisdom and guardians of sacred mysteries. They represent the fullness of knowledge and the ability to reflect the light of truth. Their intervention can manifest as profound insights, revelations about the nature of the universe, the ability to discern truth amidst confusion, or inspiration for great works of knowledge and sacred art. The Thrones, in turn, are considered the sustainers of divine stability and cosmic justice. They represent the firmness of divine purpose and the manifestation of order in the universe. On the human plane, their influence can be felt as a strong sense of justice, the ability to make balanced and upright decisions, or the strength to persevere on righteous paths, even in the face of adversity, promoting peace and harmony.
The second triad comprises the Dominions, Virtues, and Powers. The Dominions are regarded as the intelligences that govern the lower orders of angels and supervise the affairs of nations and large human groups, seeking to manifest divine order in the world. Their aid can be invoked for the development of just leadership, for the resolution of large-scale conflicts, or for obtaining clarity in the administration of important responsibilities, inspiring self-mastery and the ability to govern oneself wisely. The Virtues are the angels of cosmic strength and movement, responsible for the transmutation of divine energy into realizing power and for the manifestation of miracles. It is they who infuse courage and resilience into human hearts, especially in times of great trial. The influence of the Virtues can be recognized in the sudden strength to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles, in unexpected healing, or in the ability to inspire others through the example of faith and determination. The Powers are the guardians of the boundaries between worlds and protectors against the forces of imbalance and negativity. Their function is to maintain the integrity of creation and defend souls against adverse spiritual influences. They are resorted to for spiritual protection, for cutting harmful energetic ties, and for strengthening the aura against psychic attacks, offering a shield against fear and doubt.
The third triad, closest to the human sphere, is formed by the Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. The Principalities are the guardians of nations, cities, and large communities, guiding their leaders and inspiring the cultural and spiritual development of peoples. They work so that the light of truth and justice illuminates social and political structures. Their influence can be perceived in the inspiration for just social reforms, in the flourishing of arts and sciences in a community, or in the protection of a people against tyranny and ignorance, fostering love for one's country and the common good. The Archangels are the great divine messengers, bearers of celestial decrees of particular importance to humanity and the planet. They are known by their names and specific missions, such as Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel, each acting in areas like protection, revelation, healing, and illumination. Their intervention is often associated with crucial moments in the lives of individuals or in the history of humanity, bringing direct guidance, strength for great missions, or profound healings. Finally, the Angels, the choir closest to humanity, are the individual ministers and guardians, dedicated to accompanying and inspiring each soul on its earthly journey. The personal Guardian Angel, belonging to this order, is the most intimate celestial companion, offering protection, intuition, and solace, and guiding the individual towards their highest purpose and the reunion with their divine nature.
Parallel to these angelic hierarchies, the Arbatel prominently introduces the Seven Olympic Spirits as planetary governors, intelligences of great power and wisdom who administer the influences of the seven traditional planetary spheres on the sublunar world and, consequently, on human life. Each of these Spirits—Aratron (Saturn), Bethor (Jupiter), Phaleg (Mars), Och (Sun), Hagith (Venus), Ophiel (Mercury), and Phul (Moon)—has a specific domain of action, governing aspects such as transmutation, expansion, strength, vitality, beauty, knowledge, and intuition. Although each of them will be the subject of in-depth study in subsequent chapters, it is important at this moment to recognize their role as cosmic regents, whose energies can be understood and, with due respect and preparation, invoked to assist in the spiritual and material development of the practitioner.
