Il libro ripropone scritti che l'autore ha pubblicato negli anni '80 per la rivista "Siciliatempo". La loro rilettura ne ha evidenziato per molti aspetti la loro attualità seppure a distanza di molti anni. Buona lettura!

Introduction

The present volume contains some articles that I wrote for the magazine "Siciliatempo" in the late 80s, a magazine with very widely read and appreciated regional distribution, which was published until the death of its Director and Publisher, the late Dott. Mario Grispo.

In ordering the studio server, I got to reread them, and I considered that they are still current.

Also because in the last twenty years, the Urban Planning has almost disappeared among ordinary citizens, who should be the main actors in the planning processes, as "soul" of the cities.

There remains something between academics and students, but mostly ... in English and among restricted circles.

I make the oblivion of Urban Planning coincide with the advent of "Berlusconism", that is, since it has become common use and current mentality, that in Italy everything is permitted and even if the rules exist, these may not be respected, so much so that it arrives Always a… forgive, which settles everything, especially, as far as we are concerned, in the matter of illegal trade.

It is no wonder, therefore, if the entire Italian territory is in precarious conditions from many points of view.

In recent years, he has heard of "Smart City" riammagliare "the suburbs, and even more distant in time of" equalization plans. "

I don't think I have forgotten what else has been done.

In one of these articles I remembered that for example the competent Department in Sicily that (has legislative autonomy in Urban Planning) before calling itself "to the Territory and Environment", since its birth it was called "to Economic Development".
