With a blend of Wordsworthian poetry style and contemporary American poetic voice, Ken Allan Dronsfield wonderfully weaves human emotions, mysticism and Nature’s beauty as well as its harshness in his poetry. Zephyr’s Whisper will undoubtedly keep on maintaining the balance of soft soothing waltz and strong challenging winds like effects on the hearts and souls of avid poetry readers of all generations Vatsala Radhakeesoon (Mauritian author/poet) An American Mihai Eminescu, Ken Allan Dronsfield always tugged at my heart. His poems are suggestive, imagistic and lined with subtle emotion. Reading this collection of poems, I did have the feeling that the Zephyr was whispering at me. Roxana Nastase (Romanian/Canadian writer/poet/editor) Whispers from the Zephyr Sugar cane flowing like ocean waves Florida winds blow as egret’s hunt lunch tapestry woven in a wildness of saw grass buzzards perch high on branches of oak dragonflies rest on blades of palmetto unscrupulous clouds build to a zephyr horizontal rains pelt all within the glades saunters by quickly; sun now reappears. Spanish moss drips from Cypress trees curtains of humidity hold a damp grip songbirds fluttering, the gators cruising; in the great Florida swamp; days roll by; a muskrat swims in the calming waters a pinkish haze envelops the twilight sky Great Blue Herons stand at stoic repose; Listen to the whispers from the zephyr.

DEDICATION
AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHY
I want to take a moment to thank the many wonderful people I’ve met since beginning my poetry career. Thank you to Roxana Nastase, Editor in Chief of the Scarlet Leaf Review and Scarlet Leaf Publishing for supporting my poetry and the work of other poets throughout the world. It is with the support of people like Roxana, Raja Williams, CEO of Creative Talents Unleashed and so many others that keep me writing and evolving into a contemporary poet. My first published poetry collection is “The Cellaring” a book containing 80 works of a light horror, paranormal, haunted, weird and wonderful poems. My second collection, “A Taint of Pity”, contains life poems of a cracked inflection. A little eccentric and eclectic poetry all with a message contained within each piece. They can be purchased through Amazon.com.
I would also like to thank my dear friend Michael Lee Johnson for ‘lighting the fire’ which has put me on the path to publishing my work all over the globe. To date, I’m published in 24 countries and currently have 1460 published poems in the last two plus years. Michael and I have just completed our third poetry anthology, “Warriors with Wings” which will be available through Amazon soon. The other two, “Moonlight Dreamers of Yellow Haze” and “Dandelion in a Vase of Roses” are currently available through Amazon.com. With that, I’ll close with the comment, “Keep reading and writing Poetry. Keep it Alive! Enjoy My Work!

Sugar cane flowing like ocean waves
Florida winds blow as egret’s hunt lunch
tapestry woven in a wildness of saw grass
buzzards perch high on branches of oak
dragonflies rest on blades of palmetto
unscrupulous clouds build to a zephyr
horizontal rains pelt all within the glades
saunters by quickly; sun now reappears.
Spanish moss drips from Cypress trees
curtains of humidity hold a damp grip
songbirds fluttering, the gators cruising;
in the great Florida swamp; days roll by;
a muskrat swims in the calming waters
a pinkish haze envelops the twilight sky
Great Blue Herons stand at stoic repose;
Listen to the whispers from the zephyr.
––––––––
Sleep with stars orbiting your mind
bees nap while dreaming of flowers.
Old rooster sits upon the barn roof
a clear view of the fields of fantasy.
Back porch light attracts VW Bugs
moon but a sliver of icy humble pie.
Illusion of literality with fruitfulness
rise from the feather bed for coffee.
Field mouse dines on feta cheese
the alarm clock's spring has sprung
morning glows in a very special way
a burnt orange, with purple and reds.
Rooster now crows, and we’re awake
the old farm whispers upon the breeze.
Stories are told of lives come and gone
sitting on the porch, breakfast is ready.
Eggs, coffee, sliced ham and potatoes
coveting an idiom of morning’s calling.
––––––––
The raindrops fall with enchanted magic
spattering upon that old metal roof
a melodious rhythmic sleeping tune
my tired lips welcome steeping ginseng tea
I crave soft pillows and comforter to
carry me off to my sweet restful dreams.
The hound is fed and warming by the fire
candles now smolder a wispy goodnight.
My robe and slippers rest near the bedside.
Slide deep into heaven, cat at my feet.
Sleep well sings the bashful yawning new moon,
Tap, tap, tap chant the raindrops on the roof.
This evening ends as a cherished sonnet.
Stars whisper soft to me, adieu, adieu.
––––––––
winter storm of inglorious snow
finding a home in higher lands
melting to the harmonious tune
slowly cascades in an icy rush.
granite rocks and rough water
telling tales of whetted trails
journey to the depth of oceans
from wood, swamp and glade.
pious path of fearless doubt
wildflower's hum in rhymes
seers decree honored vows
life giving legacy to all about.
reverent thoughts move along
scowls and frowns devoid here
beauty and mystique whisper
a mountain melting carries on.
