Chapter 1: The Death of Prince Fargom

The Five Kingdoms of Light – Asteria, Drakoria, Lumeria, Valtor and Sailon – and the Five Kingdoms of Shadow – Noxara, Umbrovânia, Tenebralia, Sombrefell and Crepus – made a pact that has lasted for millennia. This pact prohibits any man or woman from possessing the blood of or marrying someone from a rival kingdom. The punishment for breaking this rule is severe: immediate execution.

But the romance between Prince Fargom, de Valtor of the Kingdom of Light, and Princess Isabelly, De Tenebralia, of the Kingdom of Shadows, blossomed in secret, in the shadows and hidden corners of the kingdoms. Their meetings were furtive, always at night, when the moon was their only witness. They had known each other since childhood, but it was during a diplomatic meeting that they realized the depth of their feelings. The charm of Isabelly's eyes and Fargom's shy smile sealed a fate the kingdoms could not accept.

In secret woods and abandoned towers, the couple exchanged promises of eternal love. Isabelly, with her night-black hair and deep-set eyes, found a kindred spirit in Fargom, someone who understood her yearning for freedom beyond the rigid traditions of Tenebralia. Fargom, with his adventurous spirit and generous heart, saw in Isabelly the light that was missing in his life.

The hidden notes, the flowers left in secret places, all of this was part of a delicate hiding game they played. Each encounter was a risk, but the love they shared made it worth it. They dreamed of a future where their kingdoms could coexist in peace, where their love did not need to be hidden.

One night, however, luck betrayed them. They were in the gardens of the palace of Tenebralia, where black roses bloomed under the moonlight. Isabelly whispered promises of escape and freedom while Fargom gently caressed her face. None of them noticed the silent shadow approaching. One of the king's advisors, faithful and vigilant, discovered them and quickly informed King Lyron.

Lyron, enraged and feeling betrayed, meticulously planned Fargom's capture. He waited until the prince was completely off guard, absorbed in his love for Isabelly. The advisor's betrayal was a silent blow, and the king was determined to make an example of Fargom.

The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight illuminated Tenebralia's gloomy castle, soldiers stormed the gardens. Isabelly tried to fight, her heart shattered by fear and despair, but she was quickly restrained and taken to her quarters. Fargom, dazed and chained, was dragged to the dungeons.

The shocking discovery shook the pillars of both kingdoms. Isabelly, confined to her quarters, cried silently, her soul torn between loyalty to her family and unconditional love for Fargom. However, Lyron, with an iron gaze and a hardened heart, decided that the forbidden love between his daughter and the enemy prince must be exterminated. Fargom's public execution was the choice he made to ensure that his authority would not be questioned and that the laws of Tenebralia would be respected.

As the day of execution approached, the shadow of tragedy hung over the hearts of those who knew of the secret love between Fargom and Isabelly. The central square would become the stage of indescribable pain, a love destroyed by the rigidity of laws and the relentless course of events.

On the day of the execution, the central square of Tenebralia was full. A wooden platform had been erected in the center, and the smell of oil soaked into the wood mingled with the humidity in the air. When Prince Fargom was brought to the square, the crowd held its breath. His eyes, once full of hope and passion, now reflected resignation in the face of his inevitable fate.

King Lyron, with an iron gaze, gave the signal. The executioners lit the torches and the wood began to burn. Black smoke slowly rose, mixing with the permanent fog that enveloped Tenebralia. Fargom held his head high, his figure trembling but dignified before the crowd that watched in silence.

As the flames grew, some in the crowd wept silently, moved by the prince's youth and courage. Others, hardened by the laws of Tenebralia, murmured words of justice and order. Isabelly, hidden within the shadows of the palace, watched in silent agony, her tears mixing with the rain that began to fall.

When the flames finally consumed Prince Fargom, the crowd let out a collective gasp. The smoke carried with it not only the life of a young prince, but also the promise of an imminent war. The hearts of the inhabitants of Tenebralia were divided between duty and compassion, and the tension in the air was palpable.

Fargom's charred body remained a symbol of warning. The message was clear: Tenebralia's law was ruthless and anyone who defied it would pay with their life. As the square emptied, the dark clouds on the horizon promised storms both in the sky and in the hearts of men.

Chapter 2: Valtor's Cry

In the Kingdom of Valtor, the news of Prince Fargom's death arrived like thunder in a clear sky. The messenger, exhausted and with eyes full of sadness, brought the news to the castle of Valtor, where Queen Selena was meeting with her council. Upon hearing the story, Selena felt her heart break into a thousand pieces. Fargom was not only her heir, but also the hope of a brighter future for her kingdom.

Selena immediately called an emergency meeting with her board. Valtor's leaders, wise and valiant men and women, gathered in the great throne room, whose walls were adorned with tapestries that told stories of peace and harmony between men and dragons. The atmosphere was normally a symbol of serenity, but on that day, it was filled with palpable tension.

With her eyes filled with tears and her voice trembling with emotion, Selena began the meeting. “My dear advisors,” she began, “today we received news that tarnishes the peace of our kingdom and hurts our hearts. My son, Prince Fargom, was cruelly executed in Tenebralia.”

A murmur of shock and indignation ran through the room. The counselors exchanged looks of consternation, each feeling the weight of the loss in their own way. The eldest of the councilors, Lord Eamon, stood up, his deep voice reflecting the seriousness of the situation. “Queen Selena, this atrocity cannot go unanswered. Fargom was not only her son, but also Valtor's future. We must act firmly.”

Selena nodded, trying to control her tears. “I share your pain and outrage, Lord Eamon. Fargom believed in the possibility of peace between our kingdoms. His love for Isabelly was a symbol of this hope. However, his death was an act of cruelty and disrespect that we cannot ignore.”

Lady Aria, an advisor known for her wisdom and temperance, spoke in a calm but determined voice. “Queen Selena, war will bring even more suffering. We must find a way to honor Fargom’s memory without plunging our people into devastating conflict.”

Selena looked at Aria, appreciating her perspective. “You are right, Lady Aria. War must be the last resort. However, we cannot allow this injustice to pass without an adequate response. We need to make Tenebralia recognize the mistake she made and pay for it in a way that brings justice, not more destruction.”

It was then that Lord Thane, one of the most respected guardians of the kingdom, raised an idea. “My queen, what if we sought intervention from the Order of Dragons? They have the wisdom and authority to mediate in situations like this. Perhaps a tournament, like in ancient times, could decide the fate of our kingdoms in a way that honors our ancestors and avoids outright war.”

Thane's suggestion brought new energy to the room. Selena, sensing the wisdom in the proposal, nodded with determination. “Lord Thane, your idea is wise. We will summon the Order of Dragons and

May justice be served through honor and courage, not hatred and destruction.”

The council agreed, and so the decision was made. A message was sent to the Order of Dragons, asking for their intervention. As preparations began, Selena retreated to her quarters, where she allowed the tears to flow freely. She swore that Fargom's death would not be in vain and that she would fight to the end so that his legacy of hope and peace would remain alive.

On the horizon, dark clouds promised storms, but in Valtor's heart, a flame of justice and honor began to burn, lighting the way to an uncertain future, but full of determination.

Chapter 3: Tension in Tenebralia

The castle of Tenebralia has been shrouded in an unsettling silence since Prince Fargom's execution. The black mist that always covered the kingdom seemed thicker, as if it reflected the shadow of sadness and tension that hung over its inhabitants. Inside the palace walls, the atmosphere was even heavier.

Isabelly had been confined to her quarters since that fateful day, her emotions oscillating between despair and fury. Each night, the memories of Fargom, his smile, his promises, haunted her. She knew she could no longer remain silent. With grief transformed into fierce resolve, she decided to confront her father, King Lyron.

The next morning, Isabelly entered the great throne hall, where Lyron was meeting with his advisors. His face, normally serene, was marked by determination and contained anger. The counselors moved away, sensing the impending storm.

“Dad,” Isabelly began, her voice firm, “we need to talk.”

Lyron looked at her, his eyes cold and impassive. “Isabelly, this is not the time for family discussions. Matters of state require my attention.”

But Isabelly was not intimidated. “This is exactly the time, father. Fargom was unjustly executed, and his blood stains our hands. How could you do that?”

Lyron stood up, his imposing figure casting a long shadow across the room. “Fargom violated our laws, Isabelly. The sentence was fair. His presence on our lands was an affront.”

“An affront?” Isabelly exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief. “He was here out of love, not hate. Our love was not a threat, but a hope for peace between our kingdoms.”

The counselors looked at each other, uneasily. The intensity of the confrontation was palpable. Lyron approached Isabelly, his eyes burning with a mixture of anger and frustration. “You are my daughter, Isabelly. Your actions reflect directly on me and our kingdom. What you did was a betrayal.”
