Introduction

English can be the easiest or the hardest language to learn. If you are a non-native English student you will know there is no secret recipe or method other than dedication and a lot of practice. Repetition is a good key. Repeat each word or sentence until you understand the meaning and feel confident to move on to the next word or sentence.

My advice is simple. Try and learn 3 new words every day and at least 1 new sentence a day, so at the end of the year you have learnt 1,095 new words or 365 sentences. It only takes a few minutes of your day. If you have a long word such as information, break the word down into smaller words.

In-for-ma-tion and start by saying each word slowly then gradually increase the speed in which you say the word until you are confident you can repeat the word in full.

Also: Read English books, magazines or newspapers. Listen and learn English songs or watch films which are made in English. Check and translate words into your own language to understand the meanings.
