1. Henry

It was snowing, and the sky was dim. Henry couldn’t stop shivering as he sat in his wagon being pulled by a mule. There he sat, pulling a plough behind him through the icy soil. This was his least favorite part about being a farmer, but he knew it had to be done.

The farm was covered in a thin layer of freshly fallen snow. In the distant north, he could see the palace, towering above the lands. To the south he could see the forests, engulfing the flowing hills in an ocean of dark green pine trees.

He could see his house, as he got closer to the end of crop fields. Smoke rose from the chimney and the inviting yellow glow of the fire was peeking through the cracked wood planks.

Henry was lean, but muscular. He had light olive skin with blond peach hairs covering it. He had bright ice blue eyes, complemented by his dirty blond hair, and his shaven beard. He wore a dingy white tunic and stained, brown leather pants. Over his shirt he wore a grey fox fur cloak to keep as warm as possible.

This was his last row of tilling. Henry was relieved to see the end was in sight. The glow of his house kept getting brighter as he got closer. The smell of pine wood filled his almost frozen nostrils and the noise of the village became more vivid.
