A man. A woman.
A man bare in the desert, beauty in every way.
A woman, dazed and standed.
Two stangers that are closer than you think.

She leaned over and pulled the cord, the lamp flickering out. She set her book down, and laid her head on a pillow, pulling the covers up around her shoulders.
When she woke up, she was in the desert. Sand blew in dust devils around her, and dunes extended in every direction as far as she could see. The sand was hot on her feet as she sank into it, and a warm breeze sank through her flowing shirt and fluttered her flower adorned skirt. The sun was burning with wave after wave of heat, her delicate skin feeling as though she was on fire. Tears dried on her cheek, and her mouth seemed to dry with it.
She crawled off the sand dune into the slightly cooler shade, the sweat vaporizing off her skin. She buried her feet in sand, feeling the coolness as she went deeper. She tried to cry, begging to be saved.
In the distance, she saw a palm tree next to a pool of water. Her body begging for water, she started to crawl through the fiery sand, burning her legs as she got closer to it.
Then she woke up, her body sweaty and freezing. She got up, went to the bathroom. She flipped on the bathroom light, and looked at herself in the mirror. She turned on the faucet, splashing her face with cold water. When she looked up in the mirror, she saw a man. A man in a gray shirt, biceps showing, his toned muscles visible under his almost too tight shirt.
