Practical Tips,
In Jan 2012, we sent out an article to our clients on reaching one's goals for the new year.
To our great surprise, this mail had the highest viewing rate we have ever experienced. Almost 70% (!) of the clients on our address list opened the e-mail and we received lots of positive responses.
This opened our eyes to the fact that this subject is so close to the heart of many.
This means, then, that the majority still tries to reach their goals despite the economic confusion and other difficulties. And that they do not give up on the goals despite drowning in problems!
And if it is so, and the feedbacks do indicates that it is indeed so, then it is our duty to make available even more information available on the subject.
Hence this book, published with the purpose of giving a few readily usable ideas and help to the readers in setting and reaching their goals.
Per the New Oxford American Dictionary:
“The object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result”
Wikipedia.com expresses it concisely:
“Agoalis a desired result a person or a system envisions, plans and commits to achieve a personal or organizational desired end-point in some sort of assumed development.”
Example: The division head reached his goal and became the executive director of the company.
Another example: The sportsman reached his lifetime goal and became an Olympic champion.
Therefore, a goal is a result one wants to reach, that he strives for, makes an effort toward, wishes for.
A goal can be small or large, easily attainable or seemingly unattainable.
Many already set their goals in childhood and there are many pensioners who find it a matter of course that they still have goals, despite their age.
Experience shows that a person is as lively as he sets goals and he gets as close to death as he ceases to set goals.
We must appreciate one important fact in regards to goals: the bigger the envisioned goal, the bigger the stops and barriers will be that we will have to face.
Has it ever happened to you that you decided to spend the next extended week-end with your family enjoying yourself at a spa hotel?
